No I haven't been sitting around watching daytime TV....a chance would be a fine thing! ::1a Set my sky box to record this today as I knew they would be discussing plans for 30 hours - was actually very good - an accurate description of the problems for providers......

I saw this on Twitter this morning, I hadnt seen the Daily Mail report. I'm not sure what I'm expecting you to say or do, I just thought it was a good perspective of how we're being tied through our LAs not allowing us to charge a deposit. Ourt of interest, is it only our LAs who tell us we cant charge it, or does that come form Govt? http://allanpresland.com/2015/10/22/why-you-must-charge-a-deposit-at-your-nursery-and-why-the-daily-mail-is-wrong/?utm_content=20646446&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter

Hi. Just wondered if your LEA lets you use your funding over lunch times and also lets you charge for hot dinner? Thanks

Carnt find official details, but I knew decision was due now do seems feasible that it's true. Not my area phew !

The borough dates are weird.....including starting in September on a Friday??????

Hi This is a question for those in school nurseries! My understanding is that EYPP is paid for eligible Nursery children and once in school Reception normal Pupil Premium applies, again if eligible. Are you being allowed to spend ( or suggest) all of the EYPP or is split with Reception? Thank you!

New funding arrangements

Hi, I'm not sure if anyone will have the answer to this yet, but worth an ask. In the past we could only claim funding for a full week, so if a funded child was there for a part week the setting either had to swallow the cost or the parent had to pay. As of this year they have changed to funding children for a certain number of days each term, rather than weeks, so does this mean that we can now claim for part weeks?

Well I've just been confirmed to attend a meeting/workshop regarding the free entitlement in November. I will let you know my findings in my neck of the woods after my attendance. Anyone else going from Essex.

Hi all, I have seen a few people mentioning home learning bags and using their EYPP to pay for these home learning bags. Just wondered what kinds of things people were using for these bags? We already do library books. Thank you
