Does anyone have a parent agreement for funding that they'd share? I can't access mine as my computer has gone mental and i need to send one to the council!

We have recently been validated to be able to recieve NEF. It may sound silly but how do they work out how much money you get on the initial payment date and then the final payment date? We only had one child who was entitled to it last term. Thanks

Hello We have a parent who wants her daughter to attend our pre-school as well as another one and she is entitled to 3&4 year old funding. She attends the other nursery for 10 hrs (2x5 hour sessions) and would like to attend ours on a tuesday which is a 6 hour session. Can I allow this and not charge her parents for the extra hour as long as I only claim for the 5 hours NEF? Hope that makes sense and you can help?

we've become a co-operative company but still running as our old group until ofsted get round to registering the new company but can anyone tell me if the early education funding is VATable please? If they are I think we're going to run into trouble as we're approaching the £73k threshold Also from looking on the HMRC website it implies that child care groups do not pay VAT anyway but I can't see how that's right????

I am a 65 place nursery school. We have been told that from September 2012 Manchester city council has cut the funding from 25 hours to 15 hours. We know that lots of our parents will still want full time places and can use working tax credits to help pay for the additional cost. However we know that our most in need children will only be given 15 hours. Does any other LEA do this and are there anytimes when school would pay for the extra hours. Also for partime place how do you get two lots of 15 hours in a week without the children crossing over and then impacting on your staff to child ratios. Plus allowing children lunchtime which carnt be included in your 15 hours, H…

Hi! I have been asked if there is any official guidance on the minimum numer of sessions that can be claimed in 1 setting? We are a maintained nursery and have 2 children who do 3x 3hr sessions wiht us, and the rest at another setting. Before this, they all did 5 sessions, and we're not suire if there's any ruling on a minimum. I was sure I had read 3 days somewhere, but what I've found says that the full 15 hours has to be over aminimum of 3 days. Cheers! Madmum

I have a 4 year old boy attending my setting who has severe behaviuor problems. After 2 children left because of his violence and several other parents had mentioned their childrens concerns and fears,I felt I had no alternative but to drop his sessions temporarily back to 6 hours per week on 2 quiet afternoons when we were able to offer him 1:1 support. Since January this has worked really well, and although his behaviour has not improved to the point that we can take our eyes of him,he is receiving quality focussed care from us and is enjoying his sessions, his family are more relaxed as they are not constantly being asked to sign for incidents and are taking up support…
