I have been on a course today about planning and was wondering if anyone out there could enlighten me as to what is really expected of us and how you plan.? our long term plan consists of our topics, any special event or visits and also the aspects we intend to cover. ( we know which aspects as we brain stormed the topics and used some of the ideas to use as our adult led activities) medium term is our adult led activities for the half term short term consits of our daily session plans along with the activity plans. What do you think?

Hi all, In Kent we are not getting our grant increase until September. We currently receive £ 7.98 per child per session. Are there any settings out there who are getting an increase in April? Do you mind me asking how much you receive? Thanks Peggy

As you all know I have been in my new job for 3 weeks now. As yet, I still haven't been introduced to how the funding system works! I was wondering if someone could explain to me how it works, so that I won't look (or feel) really silly in front of my boss? Until this job, I was only a NN is a day nursery so funding wasn't something that I was actively involved in. I do know that the children in our pre-school get universal funding when they turn 3 ( ). I would be grateful to anyone who can explain it to me!! Thanks, Clare

So we decided that after easter we would open a lunch club at the end of session for 45 mins, we give parents the option and those that wanted to could collect younge…

Hi everyone, Have just received another letter from Kent county council re: funded term dates for next year. It says "in order to deliver the maximum 38 weeks funding (plus five staff development days) you must open in line with these dates." Does that mean we can use five term days for staff development like the schools? Its the first time Kent have mentioned staff development. Do any other counties do this?
