I'm interested how settings organise their snack time? Currently a member of staff makes snack then brings it out to the children with a child handing it out. I've read that lots of clubs put snack out and children access this as and when- how does this work when you have a lot of children some nights we have 40 for snack and there is not enough tables and chairs for everyone to sit. However I suppose once this has been introduced and is no longer a novelty children won't all rush to eat they will do it as and when? Any ideas greatly received. Also any ideas as to what to serve? Thanks Bev

I have been hearing a lot about what Ofsted are looking for in terms of assessment, tracking and planning for next steps in Out of School Clubs. Would anybody mind sharing what they do? We have about 180 children on register at our Out of School Club and I really need to know how indepth we need to go. Thanks

Hi, we have applied some for some funding to re-do our kitchen. In order to get to the panel stage we need to have as many votes as we can get. I would really appreciate you taking a few minutes to vote for us! Thank you Jo

We've sent out a questionnaire to all our parents to see what the take up would be. would we need to change our registration with ofsted? because we would be purely EYFS children and these children would also attend the sessions do we need to do obs…

Hi all, We are thinking of opening preschool for couple of days each week during the Easter holidays , can you tell me what we need to do. Sure we have to inform Ofsted but otherwise that's it , also wondering whether to charge the same rate as normal preschool session or charge more. There will only be 4 staff as others have family commitments but all staff qualified and would only accept children to keep, ratios correct.

Can you tell me how it works in regard to numbers of children that you can have in the available space for a mixture of children from 3 to 11? The same space can have up to 40 EYFS children. Would it be the same?
