Hi to you all. I am new to this as a new member. I have tried to post previously to ask for help but am not quite sure if i am doing it right as I haven't had any replies and cannot find my postings. I am covering seaside thie term and wondered if anyone had any planning they could share with me to give me some ideas. This is my first year of teaching although i was a teaching assistant previously. I would be grateful of any help and guidance not only on this but also about using this forum as I don't seem to be gettign very far with eit. Many thanks Joanie

Hellllllppppp I am trying to write 2 medium schemes of work (one for nursery and one for reception ) on the topic of seaside/water. All of this in Summer 2 with e-profiles, reports, parents interviews, school trips and sports day. Anyhow does any have a) any good activities they would like to share any websites where relevant planning can be found. c) any idea where I can buy a good planning resource book. Umm... okay... it was decided last year that our topics in reception were too similar to either those in year 1 or nursery, so we were asked to change them. As daunting as it first seemed, I've actually quite enjoyed re-writing practicall our whole medium term plans from scratch based around our new topics. For the summer we're doing Under the Sea for the first half term, and Up in the Sky for the second half term. I concentrating on Under the Sea for now... so I thought seeing as I just joined the FSF I would see what kind of things you all might be able to think of to help me. Water/seaside Topic 1 2

We have a 2 year planning cycle which includes the topic of water before 1/2 term then the seaside on the last 1/2 term before the summer. When we did this topic the last time i was a lickkle NQT who was on supply in the school (where i am now permanent) and was not confident enough to say that i was not a big fan of the activities. Anybody got any ideas of what i can do? to make it more interesting for the kids and me??? Thank U Sarah
