I was meant to do this earlier. But I'm going into chat. This year we're not concentrating on having as many people in there as possible (far too confusing, Two Ronnies syndrome is bad enough at the best of times). This year we're going for as many people in chat consecutively. Spot prizes will be awarded in pre-agreed, secret circumstances! Come and talk to me because I'll get very lonely!

Welcome to this years Children in Need fun evening. We have a few things going on this evening so I hope you will find time to pop in and join in. Beau has already started the 'spotty' quiz. You can find it here We will shortly be starting a limerick thread. Spot the Pudsey is now live. I have hidden 10 Pudseys in the forum, which are numbered from 1-10. If you find one, PM me and let me know which one you found and where. Numbers 1-5 are quite easy, 6-10 are much harder, so you may need all weekend to find them (now there's a challenge). There's a few FSF goodies up for grabs, and a special prize if anyone finds all 10!! Now, the importnat bit. We are he…

Okay, throughout today I will be popping in and out posing quiz questions on this thread. All of the questions will have a spotty theme and there will hopefully be at least one that each of you can answer. All you need to do to participate is to send me a private message with your answer(s). If you are not sure how to do this then all you need to do is click on my name to the left of this post and choose 'Send Message' from the drop down menu. You can answer as many or few questions as you like and if you're feeling very brainy perhaps try to answer them all. The overall winner will be whoever gets the most questions correct and they will receive a cheque for …

Here we go then. The longest Limerick thread. Can we beat our previous best of 269 posts. Can we do better? Of course we can!! There are a few rules: Please add a whole verse if you can No bad language you can pledge if you wish per verse, or a lump sum to Children in need you dont have to donate but it would be great if you can. Add as many times as you like but please only one verse per post. There will be a few FSF 'spot' prizes so lets see how we get on. Here's the opening verse, courtesy of JacquieL It’s a fun day so we’d like to plead That we all try to do a good deed. We know that we’re dotty, So lets all go spotty, And raise mone…

A bit later than I expected to be, but who would like to come and help us break last year's record for the number of people in chat simultaneously? There are prizes to be won for the chatterers, so come and say hello!

We are going dotty for Children in Need this year! (as some of you have already noticed on the forum logo). We have decided to do a limerick thread as we haven’t done that for a while, and it proved very popular when we did it in 2006, and as our summer quiz in 2009. We would also like to beat the score for the number of posts on the Children in Need limerick thread, which was 269. The idea is to have some fun so you don’t have to donate if you don’t wish to, and I’m sure many of you will be doing something yourselves. Mundia (oh dear, that's me!!) will be playing a game of hide and seek with Pudsey Bear, and Beau will be doing one of her famous quizzes, and later on …

Hi everyone, It's nearly that time of year again! I just wondered if anyone is doing anything exciting for children in need or have any activities to make a fun day!!! We're wearing spotty clothes and the children can pay 20p for some pudsey toast. We're also painting all the children's faces with spots but I would really like to have some other themed activities going on as well any ideas? Thanks

WEll your entries have been counted and verified and I can now reveal, in no particular order, the winners in the Where's Pudsey competition. Thanks to everyone who sent me PM telling me where you found the Pudseys (there is still one to get). Waving Pudsey: In first was Inge followed very closely by BMG. The easiest one to find, it is on the front page. Timelord Pudsey: Inge was again first followed by Hali. He is in the Gallery with the August competition. Rockstar Pudsey: Whitetree got this first followed closely by Rea He is on the calender for yesterday School Pudsey: this was got first by Rea, hardly surprising as he is in her blog! Beth1 came in a cl…

Unaccustomed as I am to public speaking, I have a few thanks to make. First of all Id like to thank the FSF HQ for letting us wreak havoc around the forum from time to time, and for very generously giving the prizes. Also for creating the best place to be in early years! Next thanks to Maz, for organising the biggest chat event, I cant imagine what went on in there, and I was there! Finally, the biggest thanks of all go to you, the members, without you we wouldn't have the community we do. You are the ones who keep the community alive, and who illustrate the passion and commitment of early years. Keep it coming. Now, onto our story. I hope that we raise…
