So, today is my birthday...................and I went in to work, all smiles and looking forward to my ( very big!!) day............ first parent in through doors: 'where is my child's Learning Journey, you didn't write in there whether or not he poo'd yesterday!' err, your husband insisted on taking it home, so maybe ask him what he did with it, and bring it back in when you are next in? Breathing a big sigh of relief tonight..broke up today after a fab music performance yesterday and a great party today. Have had children wilting during the last week and am so glad to be away from all the nasty bugs that are going round at school!! Fingers crossed I can stay healthy through Christmas!! To all of you who have also broken up, have a great holiday and to those who only get a couple of days enjoy them when they arrive. ::1a

Just had an email from ELC telling me that there are only 11 more sleeps 'til Christmas well really do they think this is helpful I am going to have to get my act together very rapidly then! :blink: Psssst is it very bad to be thinking 'phew thank goodness the mother-in-law is not coming here this year, no need for any in depth cleaning then' :lol: :rolleyes:

I've been watching the news and it seems 29 people, 21 of which are children have been shot dead in America. Its tragic and so predictable where guns are going to be so easily accessible. My heart goes out to the family's, such a sad day

earworm A song or tune that continues playing inside one's head, often to the intense annoyance of the particular head concerned. The song/tune will typically be of the hooky variety, making it easy to absorb and remember on just one or two hearings. Unfortunately for sufferers, it is often the most trite and irritating parasites (i.e. melodies) which attach to the host ear... and in the hope of losing mine.. here it is!! do hit the play button for full effect... (heard it in the garden centre but in a jollier faster version) warning it is driving me nuts.. even hearing it in my dreams..

Ok, I have a huge apology to make: I was the registered keeper of Callum for what was supposed to be just a short stay. For various reasons, that turned into a much longer stay than anticipated and I'm afraid I needed some reminders and a couple of stern ticking off's to get my act together. However, one small bear is in the post and he tells me he is really looking forward to his next visit. Apparantly, we're WAY too adventurous for him!!
