Lots of info on this on the news this morning but i'm really surprised.... I haven't got any children who are not vaccinated and in the past 20 years have only had 2 to my knowledge who refused . If this is so much of a problem why do pre-schools and nurseries not get any information to give to parents as 98% of children attend an early years setting you would have thought we were an obvious 'target' for advertising.

Hello all, What would you put in an inventor kit?! My lovely little niece is feeling a bit down at the moment and I want something to make her smile. She has wanted to be an inventor since she was 3 and is always taking herself off to build inventions. I was thinking of trying to put together an inventor kit for her but I can't think what to put in it. To be honest I suspect she probably already has most of the things you might include so it might be a non starter but I thought it was worth an ask!

I think it's probably time that I officially said 'Goodbye' to you all, and a huge THANK YOU for all the love, laughs and support you and this great forum have given me over the years. If I've helped anyone over the years, then that's great, but I think on balance, I've had more from you all than I gave. I retired in autumn 2015 and it's been twelve months now since I had anything to do with working in childcare, (my own gorgeous granddaughter notwithstanding!) so it's time to hang up my glue and glitter spattered apron and bid you all a very fond adieu. I have felt a great comradeship from you all, for which I thank you, from the bottom of my heart. An e…

Good luck to everyone returning to work today! Have had a relaxing break and 100% completely switched off from everything work related, which actually never happens, except at Christmas. But it all came back to me at 4am this morning when any chance of sleeping ended! The TDL was formed, the when will Ofsted come thoughts started and the worry of what the bank accounts will look like after the next lot of bills go out. Trying to focus on seeing the children again and looking forward to hearing about their Christmas but I can already feel the shoulders begin to be weighted down with all the other worries😢
