My daughter and i were watching America Next top model and twiggy was referring to howshe got her nickname and how much that launched her career, she asked the models to rename themselves and to give them selves a superself name. Got to wondering as the majority of us use nicknames on here - what the meaning is behind them /how we came up with them - or maybe we could have a guess at each others

I just read a lovely post about two settings, different from each other joining up to send letters, photos etc. I would love to do this with a village nursery as i am in London! I know we are all very busy but this could be a letter once every few months/ a term and would be so exciting for the children ( and staff) he he! Let me know if you would be interested and we can swap details! Thanks x

Hi folks. I recently posted to say I was on the final leg of my EYPS journey and at home recovering from the removal of a lump from my face/ neck area. All was going well. Two weeks post op, 37 stitches out and I was healing and feeling well. I had a call on Tuesday to come to the hospital (a week earlier than planned) and have found out that I have cancer. Low grade mucoepidermoid carcinoma of salivary gland to be precise. Yesterday I had an urgent body scan (I got a cancellation) and I will now be seen on Tuesday with the results. I am so scared. I have had the lump for 2 years at least. I found it in January 2010 when I had a bout of vertigo. …
