This is very sad news. My eldest son (now 19) was obsessed with Rosie and Jim I remember when he was playing a friends house, aged about three, and it came to be time to go home and he asked if he could stay for a bath - this was quite an odd request but we agreed that he could. When it came to bath time it became clear why he was so keen - his friend had this bath toy

So, today marks the 10th anniversary of my diagnosis of Breast Cancer..............which now puts me officially in the same risk category as the rest of the population. So, in honour of that I'm reminding you all to please 'heck your bits'..................female and male, and all of your bits...saggy, springy, dangly..........the whole lot. If you find anything you'renot sure about, do yourself a favour and get it checked out. A lot of the time, it won't be anything untoward...........but if it IS, then the sooner you get treatment, the better your chances of being well again. Thanks for reading xx

so if you have been watching the news this morning there have been discussions about going to a 4 day working week......my immediate thought …"what would this do to an already struggling childcare industry?" How do you think your setting would cope with this?

I'm free! Usual apologies to those who don't get a break...…. Thought we should have a thread to share what we are up to (or not up to as the case may be!) Finished today with a lovely picnic! As always I have an extensive TDL - but I will not be looking at/thinking about that until next week at the earliest for now it's a case of show me to my sun lounger!

Just wondering as I made my way to work this morning how different everyone’s commute to work is? My commute on this glorious morning was a meander up the lane, which takes all of seven minutes, I was passed by one car and two people. The only sounds to be heard where the ringing of the bell on the buoy out at sea, the cockerel crowing and the birds singing. Just had one of those moments when I was so grateful for where I live although I know it probably sounds like hell to a lot of people.! so come on share your commutes.....

So, inspired by Zigzag’s description of the daily commute I’m wondering what the best bits of where you live are? And yes, I am looking for a holiday destination - really want to try and go away this year.

I posted on here a while ago about the problems I had with an order from Cosy direct and the complete lack of customer service and contact that I was having. I have received an email today and they have said that yes the product is not as shown in the catalogue but that we have to pay £50 to return them!! There is no way I am paying that for something that is not as shown in the catalogue. I have emailed to say this and am waiting a response. Does anyone have any idea of the legal standing on this? I am so frustrated, I shall NEVER be using them again. Right off to dig the allotment and get rid of some of my 😤😤😖

Hi All Gutted today to find out that our plans to purchase another nursery have fallen through due to being gazumped - but onward and upward and I am looking at the possibility of extending our current premises and introducing under 2's - lots to consider but has anyone else had experience of changing registration from 2-5 yr olds to under 2's? I have only recently re-registered due to purchasing the business and not sure I can face going through all that again. Many thanks
