Eleven! We'd taken some money from the petty cash to buy everyone who turned up a drink, I thought at one point we might run out, they just kept arriving. It was so unbelievable. We've got a secretary but no treasurer. But, we've got a man who is regional manager of Sainsburys homebase and he said he can get us anything we need for our new garden plus their staff have two paid days a year to help with voluntary projects. He's got 150 people he can call on to help with the digging, clearing, planting, fencing... He used to be regional manager at Argos too and has said he still has contacts and can help with providing things for fundraising raffles. Told us anything w…

My son is in the process of writing his personal statement to apply for uni next year. He has completed it and had it checked, but he just needs to tweek the following statement: "Another attribute I believe to have shown is dedication and commitment; this is because I had to commute about an hour to and from college each day" he needs to find a stronger reason for his dedication and commitment. Any ideas?? He is studying AAT level 3 at college (association of accounting technicians).

Here I am sitting in the foot clinic with my darling grotty toed daughter and I happen to pick up todays sun newspaper.... They are offering a deal to Disneyland Paris for £9.50 during the week per person. I know my school will be inundated with requests for time off much the same as when they do their holiday deals. I know that these opportunities are few and far between but when we are trying so hard to raise attendance this isn't helping. Sorry rant over!!! Nicky

I'm posting this in celebration, that after trying since Friday to find suitable flights, suitable accommodation and be able to combine the two, I'm going to Rome next Feb to watch the rugby. I didnt think anything could be so difficult!  Of course, without a coach and with the RFU being less than supportive of the team, I dont hold out much hope that we'll win against an Italy that is getting increasingly dangerous, but hey, I'm going to go to see the pretty men!!
