Help! My pc is behaving rather badly...................it won't let me open attachments so I can print them off. It comes up with messages such as 'can't open'...... or, if it does open them, they look like they're written in ancient greek! What can I do???

Hello all, Well i guess i just never seem happy recently, after leaving one job that caused me stress and unhappiness i finally found a new job but after two trial days i am not convinced it is for me. They have put me in baby room, when i have minimal baby room experience! The days dragged and i got very frustrated at some of the bad practice i saw ( not wiping children's runny noses, not always washing hands after nappy changing) ...... In all fairness the job meets my needs as its only four days a week which is what i needed, but is being deeply miserable worth this? I think my time in childcare, or at least nurseries is done with I am now at a loss, i still h…

Hi all, well this is not good, I was due to start my new job today but have been sick all weekend and feel rotten now..... think it is a stomach flu or something, have completely lost my voice, sickness and ache from head to toe. i sense that work are going to be less than impressed. Hubby had to ring because of the no voice situation. I am going to attempt to get into my dr but i doubt they can do anything..... i think its a case of rest (and stress as i know this does not look good for the new job!). .............. damm, so annoyed....... anyway off to bed to be annoyed there Dawn

This is a quote from Terrydoo in another post and I just had to steal it as it sums up exactly how I'm feeling. Thanks Terrydoo I have being manager of a pre-school for almost 2 years and have ran out of patience with my Committee. I have been working with our Early Years Team to get through a quality assessment and move on from being a good to an outstanding setting. My staff have been brilliantly supportive and work really hard for very little in return and I really value them. The trouble is my Committee just don't get it and I feel I am constantly nagging at them. Paperwork is missing from the setting, staff don't have contracts, policies aren't signed, they have…

Can't believe that we break up tomorrow - can we have been back seven weeks....... Slightly worried as I don't seem to have my usual long 'to do' list for the break! Hmmm - perhaps I'll remember what I need 'to do' or perhaps I can do some housework and gardening Anyone got any exciting plans?

H i there everybody Wahoo half term tomorrow, just as i am beginning to get the kiddies into a routine and behaviour is much more manageable. Anyway, i am thinking that i really must put fresh challenges weekly/two weekly into the CP areas. This half term as much as the creative area is being used, the only challenge that has been put in there is for the chn to paint a 'ssss'. Markmaking area has been extended, by putting phase 2 picture cards in and chn are writing the cvc words & i have done a tray of sounds for the les able chn to sort. Im thinking what challenges can i put in the water area? playdough etc. And how do you know the chn have engaged i…

As a Welsh rugby player (retired for a number of decades now, thanks for asking...) I just wanted to reach out to any of you who (like me) may be chewing off the last of your fingernails at the moment. I loved the leader in last weekend's Observer, and thought I'd reproduce it here for any who have been following the World Cup down there in New Zealand Land. Game starts at 9am Saturday - catch it if you can! Princes of Wales Rugby is a sport of contradictions. It is played by men with heads like punchballs, their ears flapping by threads and their noses indented like footprints in concrete, yet many of the best of them have been doctors or solicitors or writer…
