Seal Planning?
by Guest- 1 reply

Hi there, I have just recently been advised to teach a focused PSED session at least once a week and was recommended to use the SEAL programme. Does anyone please have a copy of their planning or a link to where I could find the SEAL planning? I have looked and looked but as of yet have found no luck. Thank you in advance if you can help me! xxx

I'm just going to have a bit of a moan...... We are giving out Bookstart Treasure Chests at pre-school........how many parents do you think have said 'thank-you' or even more to the point have encouraged their child to say 'thank-you'.........OK so that would be none, zero, na da......the only person to say thank you was a 'granny'....what does that tell you? Yeah, yeah, yeah - I know that I haven't paid for these.....but I did have to go and collect them - still what else what I be doing on a Friday afternoon......... This is all beyond me - I really hope that I don't ever forget to say thank-you......hope that I don't just take things (and people) for grant…

Hi again, some of you may remember that I have been unhappy in my current job for quite some time, not with the company but with the "bosses". About a month ago I was moved to one of our sister nurseries when the manager there left as they "nedd a strong manager"; I don't believe for one minute that this was the case I believe it was done to pee me off and to put a less strong manager in my place in the nursery I moved from, which they have, however I have risen tot he challenge and will get the new nursery sorted. However, something happened with a colleague of mine and a few other things coupled with everything else that has happened so we decided to formally compl…

Right, now I know that I am turning into my mum - she loves nothing more than a good chat/moan about the weather! Can't believe how beautiful the weather is - what a bonus! Speaking of my dear old mum - she will be 90 on Sunday - hope the weather lasts - she'll have so much fun on her bouncy castle if it's nice and warm!

HI, I have given my notice in today, feel a million times better. Nursery was as bad as i remembered. Operations manager was as rubbish as i remembered... nothing changed in my two weeks off sick. i don't have to work my notice as they are worried it will stress me out (nice of them LOL) plus side, i have an interview for a nursery nurse position (part time) in two weeks. I think part time working would be better. Although two steps down in ranking i feel working back in the rooms with the children will be managable - especially part time. Thanks to all for their support, advice and words of encouragement recently Dawn

Hi there everyone, i really hipe you are all ok. My goodness, already lesson observation time. I still feel like we are not in the total swing of things yet, chn are still a little out of sorts, tired, hungry etc. Anyway as the post title suggests...I am being observed first thing next Thursday, and need a quick 15min activity max that will be exciting for te children. This week every morning we have been doing listening activities in the hall, running about pretending to be cars, and stopping on a signal. I would stilll like to work on the chn's listening skills as they are really quite poor. Please if you have any lovely activities that you have done, i would…

Back To Work Tommorow :-(
by Guest- 5 replies

Hello, After two weeks off sick with stress i am back to work tommorow.... sadly, i still feel as stressed as i felt two weeks ago. I don't know if being off has helped, because it has raised my anxieties about going back. The nursery i work at has had some changes, manager left early for maternity, low occupancy, being told what to do by operations advisors who don't really see the reality of the situation (economic climate affecting places - lost a few children as their parents had been made redundant), being told to 'market' the nursery but not being given the tools to do this. Being told to buiild staff morale yet they keep pinching staff to go and work in th…
