Well.....it's that time of year again........ I'm off for a much needed break to sunny (I hope) Brittany for two weeks, in the wee small hours of the morning (Sat.), home again for a week and then off to Dublin for another week (without hubby and kids) yay!!! I may look in from time to time to ensure everyone is behaving so be good everyone. Anyone else going away? If you are then have a good rest and relax and I'll see you all again soon. P.S. The key is under the 4th plant pot from the left!!

Hi all Is is just me or does anyone else feel quite sentimental at this time of year. We finish tomorrow and have already started getting choaked today at the thought of the little cherubs leaving. We have had some of them for nearly 3 years . I normally spend most of the last day blubbing at some stage! remembering how they have grown and florished. Please tell me im not just being a saddo!

I'm working from home today and just had a phone call from my deputy asking me what to do. A 4 year old child was busy playing outside and wet himself. He was very anxious that the member of staff did not tell his Dad that he wet himself and asked the staff member to say his clothes got wet in wet play, which children have done a lot of recently. I have advised the member of staff to take the father to one side before he collects the child to explain that the child was very anxious about having wet himself and that we have reassured him that accidents happen when children are busy playing and Daddy won't be cross (we haven't actually said that to the child). Is …

HI, I we have our parents evening next week and i did have lots of typed out info sheets about all the activities you could think off in nursery but my laptop has died and i have lost the document. they were sheets that talked about the activity and what the child would get out of it, with ideas for extensions at home on it... really parent friendly. we then had them in the areas on parents evening.... so one with the water, jelly, sand, cars, puzzles etc.... i know it is a long shot but i don't suppose anyone else has anything like this they can share with me. kind regards Dawn

Not sure if it's breeding time for earwigs but we seem to be inundated with them at the moment at Pre-School. When I open the gate in the morning thay fall out and run all over the pavement (have 1 member of staff who wont touch the gate now!), unfold a clean tea towel they fall out, inbetween the plates, inside cups!! Really have had enough, anyone else having this problem at the moment and if so how are you getting rid of them!!! Kris
