After many knock backs looking for land or property for us to expand our pre-school to and become a full day care nursery we have finally had some positive news. Weeks ago I approached a building firm that are building houses and a new school in our town. Their initial response was positive but then heard nothing. Today a lady I chat to at swimming said she had got the email for us for one of the directors as she knows him. Now we are planning a meeting with them early July. Fingers crossed!!!!!

when we move the pre-school in september i would like to change my title. I am a supervisor at the moment (makes me sound like a prison officer) It really doesnt describe my position and i would like to have a change...i do just about everything so gofer might be the best option!! so what are you called...????

I just had a letter telling me how much child benefit I will be receiving for my two children, only to find that in September, I will receive none for my 18 year old. Having read the guidelines, it says they receive it until they are 20 if in full time education. I rang them up to say I hadn't had any paperwork to complete for him and they said 'Oh yes, it is your responsibility to contact us every year to tell us about your child' !!!!!! She's updated his records, but once he is 19 in december I have until 5th March 2012 to inform them again that he will still be education, or I will lose it again! Just thought I would share so that all you other parents …

I and our playleader went to our local Sainsburys last Tuesday to do a presentation after we were shortlisted to receive funding, there were two other organisations presenting. They'd had some nomination forms to pick up in which people could nominate a local charity. We presented well, got all our points across and really thought we stood a chance. We have definite aims for any money that comes our way, we could tell them everything they needed to know about how the money would be used, who would benefit, how the community could be involved. Today we've learnt though someone who works there that the staff notice board is declaring the winner to be a school for deaf ch…
