Can anyone advise me please. It has been a long time since we have recruited anybody, and although we do CRBS for new committee members annually, we have just taken on another kitchen assistant, filled in a EY2 sent it off, and have waited. I rang Ofsted who advised that they don't do them for staff, although she had actually been placed on the committee list puzzled me too. So my question is how do i get this person cleared if not through this route. Any thoughts will be gratefully received.

So my thoughts are turning to how I'm going to sell off all my stuff, but I'm having a problem trying to think of a 'formula' to decide how much to sell stuff for. I want it to be sold, but don't want it to go for peanuts, if you get my drift. I'm thinking of having an open day/sale during half term so I really need to get my thinking caps on. Anyone got any suggestions?

There are 10 of us going away next year including 4 teenagers to please age 13-17, we are meeting with my brother and his wife who live in America. Which is why we have been looking at Mexico, so has anyone been in the last year or so, and is it safe!! Dominican is a no go as my brother in law was quite ill out there and wont go back, St Lucia, Antigua and Aruba coming up way to expensive, we all like the look of Mexico just not sure about safety. Hello everyone, I'm here for a moan, I hope you don't mind! Some sympathy would be nice too as I really feel like giving it all up right now. I feel like I spend all my time working, if I'm not actually there I'm working at home, or waking in the night worrying about something that needs doing. There just aren't enough hours in the day to do everything. This morning I went into work early (as usual) and found that someone had made a mess outside pre-school which looked awful so had to be cleared up before the children turned up - it turned out to be coffee, which was something of a relief! I then found that 2 committee members had seen it on Saturday, but hadn't …

Well it is the eve of the Eurovision Song Contest and I find myself debating whether I will sit through it this year or not? My children quite enjoy watching and mostly ridiculing much of what they see.....I think they learnt that from me who has been brain washed by Sir Terrance Wogan over many years I am disturbed to hear Jedwood are 2nd favourites to win and if they do indeed win then I may never ever watch it again. I am sure we all have Eurovison memories but those of us old enough to remember who can forget the year that Riverdance was the interval act...I just remember sitting there amazed at the wonderful blend of music and dance. So if I do wa…

Who like me gets the sunday night blues? Planning for the next week- I find it impossible to get down to until 5.30 am Monday! I'm on the forum as a kind of fix to reassure me I'm doing OK. I don't like sending word lists home I don't like a kid telling me 'you don't make us do any work! We never do writing!' I don't like 'getting children ready for Y1' I like time to play I like time to talk I like time to make I like time to run and there is never enough time for any of it...

Why are the little blue lines underneath all post titles not disappearing any more even though I have now read the content? I updated to Firefox 4 yesterday but it seems to be the same in IE today? Even my technology experts cant resolve this for me!!!
