Hi all, I don't post very often and this is my first personal post, but I have witnessed the help and support given by you all to others and I don't know where else to turn at the moment. The issues is with my 11 year old son, he is one of twins and is severely dyslexic. School as you can imagine has always been a challenge, he does has a statement for 15 hrs, but as he is in yr6 the pressure is building. His behavior has recently become very temperamental and the whole family feels they are walking on eggshells. He has episodes of extreme emotional disturbances, he will throw things scream and shout and has even been violent towards me. A fortnight ago h…

Hi just wanted to share my lovely day with you all. Well apart from being my birthday, we had our Easter concert today. All children have been busy learning lots of lovely songs with actions, and some well known traditional rhymes. All parents friends and family members were all invited to join us for hot x buns, teas and coffees. They also presented me with a beautiful bouquet and card for all my work with incorporating the Pre-school. The sun shone all day, we had lots of positive comments and the children were an absolute delight. If only everyday could be this wonderful for us all. Now off to get ready for a special evening with my dear friends.

Hi all, Has anyone any ideas on how to stop a 2 1/2 year old picking her face, she fell over a while back scratched her nose, that took ages to heal up as she would not leave it alone, she has since had chicken pox, hand foot and mouth all of which she has worried, she currently has a bramble scratch that she will not let heal. We have tried distraction techniques, which is great til nap time, putting plasters on face or fingers, her nails are kept short, we have tried nail varnish as a distraction and well as a specially designed necklace, nothing seems to work does anyone have any ideas please? She woke up from her nap today with the bramble scratch bleedin…

My dear darling son, after a night out on the town, was sick on his bedroom floor on Sat. However, this was not discovered by me until Sunday morning (Happy Mothers day Mum ) and therefore the smell seems to have penetrated deep into the pile. I've washed it and used an odour neutralising spray on it, but it still stinks. Any ideas on how to get the smell out ? I've read that vinegar or baking soda/bi-carb do the trick anyone else heard/used these ideas. Help!!!!

It's taken a while, but the police have been back in touch and have sent me details of the events after the girl ran off again. It doesnt really answer why it was ok to let mom collect but at least they followed it up and had proceedures in place. The log reads that you located the girl and that there was already a separate log created from her mother reporting her missing. The child's mother was informed of her daughters location and she stated that she would pick her up. The girls mother was informed that officers would be attending the home address shortly afterwards to conduct a routine safe and well on both parties. This is a routine procedure to ensure the w…
