I have been shopping today and just got the giggles I bought something that came with a big, bright yellow sticker that said 'SECURITY WARNING' the border of the sticker had bold black diagonal stripes and underneath the warning it said "This item is security tagged, do not open before purchase, the device will be deactivated at the point of purchase" Question of the day, just for fun is what did I buy that was worthy of having such a warning. It was not an expensive item (cost £13.65) answers on a postcard and I am so confident no one will get it I will donate £10 to red nose day if anyone gets it right.

My subscription ends soon so I'm getting in a little goodbye before it's too late. Oh you lovely forum buddies have been the most fantastic lamp posts to lean on, shoulders to weep on, and my No.1 advice line. I really have enjoyed being a member of this forum. We have had such laughs and I have learnt so much. You have helped me through some really tough times and shared in my jolliness. Thank you to you all. I have been unemployed since September and although attempted to find work, I have been unsuccessful for many reasons. For those reasons I decided not to continue working with children. Although I was good at my job and enjoyed it, I have encountered to…

Webchat - Who Would You Pick?
by Guest- 17 replies

Hi, This post has come about mainly due to severe boredom and way too much time on my laptop with not much to do... Many other sites (Mumsnet, Netmums, etc) have guests in for webchats about different topics e.g. politicians, authors, celebrities, experts, etc. But I have never seen a 'practitioners' site do the same thing. So I'm wondering if you could have anyone (alive, preferably) who would you want to see do a webchat on a practitioners site? Also, maybe why you would want to have them or what questions you ask them? Just a bit of fun really

Did anyone see the advert in Nursery World yesterday? Tribal are recruting people to train as Associate Inspectors for Ofsted. They're looking for graduates/EYPs which is interesting. Anyone tempted?

Strengths And Weaknesses

I have been out of childcare now for about 18 months. I have worked in retail since leaving my setting. On Friday I have an interview in a local building society for office work. Inevitably they will ask the question ' what are your strengths and weaknesses' So just for fun I wondered what your responses would be to that question. Your strengths and weaknesses as a person and not for the work you do. Be honest

by Guest- 6 replies

Hello, my niece is being dedicated (sort of Christening) in a couple of weeks and I wanted to get her a nice gift. I know that a lot of people will be there and I am guessing they'll all the get the usual Christening gifts. I'm trying to think of something a bit different. Any ideas would be very welcome! Hope you can help Vicki
