well....................................guess who had the biggest surprise of her life today???? Preschool christmas party: santa arrives, gives out gifts to children, shuffles round in the bottom of the sack a bit more, then says, 'hohoho, one more present.................it's for ( Narnia)...........I look how i felt, truly flummoxed, as i had packed the bag for him, so I knew there wasn't ( or shouldn't have been!) a gift for me. So, I opened it and was thrilled to get a Bon Jovi dvd, gave a little whoop of surprise and said thank you. After the kerfuffle with the charity commission a few weeks ago, I thought we were back on track. New, eager committee, full sessions and a full waiting list. The charity commission, at the time, used the words 'unauthorised', 'disolve' and 'unlawful'. This morning I received a letter from HMRC via our old payroll company, which says we havent paid any tax or NI since April 2010. HMRC use the words 'seizing assests', distraint action', 'public auction' and 'embarrassing'. Now, forgive me if I'm wrong, but I thought thats what payroll companys did, paid Tax and NI for small businesses like ours. Its all far too confusing for me to work out so I've emailed our ne…

My 7 year old has just three things on her list for Santa. A shepherd's crook A shepherd's hat A Border Collie. The dog arrived from the Dogs Trust last weekend in the form of a gorgeous little Jack Russell called Alfie and she is totally in love with him so that's great. The crook can be bought on eBay no problem. The problem is the hat. Apparently she has read a book in which a little boy dreams of being a shepherd like his father.
