I've just seen this article on twitter. Apparently it says that in primary school boys are two and a half times more likely than girls to have statements at primary school. At secondary school, they were nearly three times more likely to have statements compared to girls. Interesting reading! Maz

Hi all I have a contract with O2 - now time to get a new 'phone from them! Keeping to my same tariff.....I can choose from the following: HTC Smart LG Optimus Nokia 5800 Nokia 031 Nokia 6700 slide Nokia C5 Samsung Genio Samsung Monte Sony Ericcson Elm Have had a quick look at some of them online - but would love to have your recommendations...or your 'definitely don't haves'! I do know that I would like a phone with a QWERTY keyboard - I'm hopeless at texting - sure I would be better with a keyboard!

Don't know if this applies to every Sainsbury's, but we have just bought some fabulous woven baskets in our local branch! Three nesting ones, all good sizes, very sturdy, original price was £30, and they are down to £7.50 for the set of three........an absolute bargain! I had been looking at replacing the plastic tubs in our 9 hole unit with wicker baskets and the only ones i could find to fit were going to cost in excess of £130, but I bought 9 sets of the sainsbury's baskets for £67.50 and so have not only replaced the plastic, but now have loads of lovely baskets all round the room with resources easily to hand. ( We've made one of them into a 'treasure chest', full of…

Why Oh Why, do some parents think that they need to get their children recognising numbers and letters! We have a number of children aged from just 2 to 4 that supposedly know all letters and numbers. The youngest of these children is barely talking, and the oldest needs to learn how to put his coat on! Am thinking a parent workshop is needed to teach them about the things that ar REALLY important. Don't you find that these children are often like little robots, as they have been talked at rather than to, and have no common sense, can't respond to questions or give anything during circle time. Aghhhhhh! (feel a bit better now )

Isn't this the most wonderful and moving story........ Watching these men reunited with their families has moved me to tears (silly sentimental old thing that I am) God speed to those still to be rescued.

Soooooo Mr Sunnyday and I might (it's only a might at the moment!) venture over to the Emerald Isle for a mid week break during half-term So advice please from those who know Dublin - where to stay and what to see........ If we don't go now, we will certainly (well fingers crossed) visit Dublin at some point in the near future!
