Hooray have just returned having taken part in our local community carnival. The sun shone, the float looked fantastic in a jungle book theme, the children were amazing and to finish a lovely day we came first in our category. The crowds were amazing and nothing quite beats that community spirit and long may it continue. However my little tootsies are killing me and i feel shattered from smiling so much ha ha.

Hi Just had to say that two weeks in I love the increase to the 3 hour funding. After the initial sorting out of times and staff cover I think it is great. So much time to do all the stuff that we used to struggle with snacks, observations etc But most importantly time to talk to the children Glen

I am a great believer in the power of white vinegar for cleaning but can only find it in supermarkets in normal sized vinegar bottles. As I use a lot of it I am trying to find somewhere that stocks large bottles and I'm sure I once saw some in M&S but have never seen it since. Can anyone help? Thanks ppp

Hello everyone, help! I was delighted at the end of July when I realised we were fully booked at our setting and felt so positive about starting the new school year......now I am tearing my hair out with so many children, so many new starters, children that have increased their hours and cannot cope with it thus becoming disruptive, aggressive, so basically our three days this week have consisted mainly of... new children unsettled, crying, needing changing, etc etc, a child with additional needs that needs more than one person at times to support him, four unruly boys that have extended their hours and fight continuously.... my solution is to think and thi…

Just had a visit from an ex pupil.....she has lots of difficulties and when she left us in July she was able to walk using support....today she came to see me and walked in the door on her own! i can tell you all there was not a dry eye in the pre-school.Thought this might cheer some of you up at the end of a long week It's the little things that make this job so special
