3 days down and I love my new job even more than I thought I would. Lovely team, fun drama inset, compliments about my classroom layout and cleanliness smell, kids were great today, consultant told me to keep doing Phase 1 Letters & Sounds till October half-term (when does that happen in F2!) and a chocolate fountain in the staffroom!!! Can it get any better?!?!

Right, firstly thank you for all your help choosing my next vacuum, what I need now is help with a phone! The electrical socket is over the other side of the hallway from the phone socket, so currently the wire threads under the carpet. This is not the best scenario as it damages the cable. Sooo, what I'm looking for is a phone that doesn't need a power supply, but I'd really like a 'hands free' one for when I'm chatting and ironing or whatever - and so I don't have to stay in the draughty hallway when I'm on the phone. The answerphone is a reasonable facility, but not urgent as I could sign up for 1571 or whatever it's called. What do you recommend? Is t…

Hi all, I've kept in touch with Nichola, as I know some of you have, since she left a while ago. Recently she contacted me with some great news which she has now asked me to share with anyone who remembers her. She says " I want to share with the many people who were there with and for me over the years, good and bad, the news that I'm pregnant with our first child, due in July." Another FSF baby! Sue

Hi all you great peoplke out there, I'm starting phase 2 with my more able chn in a couple of weeks, does anyone have a letter addressed to parents explaining how we teach them to read. I was thinking along the lines of explaining a little about Jolly Phonics, but would like it in a parent friendly fashion. I would love to be able to get across the importance of their support aswell. Anything would be very much appreciated xx
