My 29 year old daughter is expecting her 1st baby on january 17th. She had the routine blood test done last Monday to check for Down Syndrome, she got a call from the hospital to day to say she has a 75% chance of have one. My daughter have been told she could have the other test carried out but she would have a high chance of miss carrying as she is already suffering with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) (low platelet count) They said she would need a very stong dose of steriods for at least a week or more before the test to build up her blood. At the moment my daughter is not sure if she realy wants to take the risk, she is thinking about taking the chance that…

I'm off in a couple of hours to the south of France. I've cleaned the house, stocked the booze fridge and the nibbles cupboard just in case I have some forum visitors around for an illegal party!!!! Enjoy yourselves and if anyone finds themselves swinging from the chandillers..... then you're in the wrong house! Well, who would have thought it???/ I have only been and gone and done it! PASSED my GCSE Maths, with the 'C' grade I needed. I I passed the equivalency but I wanted to see if I could do this, and i'm thrilled to have got it! My lovely tutor, Jo Hazell is a star! I'm soooooo happy!

Thought I would share my GCSE English and Maths results with you all. English (mature) B....A grade clever me! Maths (linear) A....D grade still clever me, to say I dont have a GCSE maths to my name! Just need to figure out how to resit or even try the GCSE maths Modular B course lol. Lets hope the happy news continutes this afternoon when I visit the hosptial with this ear of mine! lol Beth
