Well, I wrote my resignation today, handing it in tomorrow. Some relief but as I spent the day getting records up together and ensuring staff know what to do next week, I feel sad. I have done so much for the group, turned it from an unsatisfactory to a good, introduced good practice and made the group well known. Lots of emotions in my head. But I know I can't stay there with that committee. I've moving house in September, nice new start for me. Can't find any jobs to apply for yet but may leave the profession. Not sure what I'm going to do but I need to clear my head of all the anguish and pain I have felt recently before I can start again. I found out tha…

At Preschool, each child has their name badge with a specific logo, particular to them. You know the kind of thing, Connor has a cat, Aaron has an ambulance - that type of thing. As far as possible we go with the initial sound of the child's name - that helps other children to locate something too. Well I'm stuck on 3 children for September, I've got Nathan - I thought of nest, but it only looks like a nest with eggs in, and then it might be misconstrued as eggs. I've got Eleanor, which could be eggs, but, hmm, I've already got elephant for someone else. I'm stuck on Nina too - I think I'm brain dead! So there's Nathan, Nina and Eleanor if anyone has any good ideas…

feeling fed up and unapriciated. spent all weekend again rushing about doing playgroup stuff. Had some really good knews got outstanding in ofsted report but why do i not feel happy. Because staff do not seem appreciate hours i put in. Yes its my business so is this the joys of being manager. Its nearly summers hols all i can think about it work that needs doing. is it just me Buttercup
