While at home on Monday, tragically a 22 month old, who attended our childminder drop in, died after choking on a whole grape. Oliver's Mum has asked that we PLEASE remember, and remind others, to cut all fruit before we give it to children. Perhaps we can prevent another family's heartbreak. Nona x

Hi, I would be really interested in other peoples thoughts about baby led weaning and how it is dealt with in settings. For those who aren't familar with it here is a link http://babyledweaning.com/ I found out about it on a baby forum I used and alot of the other mums on there said that nurseries were unsupportive and would not allow it due to nursery policies on no finger foods in the babyroom, thats why I would like to know what people on here thought and how their settings work with it. Hello all! I have a Nursery Teacher interview this coming Thursday and I need a bit of advice for my presentation/demonstration part. My interview consists of - 10 minutes of writing an observation of child initiated play and learning (with children of my choice). Then followed by 10 minutes engaging in child initiated play in the area of my choice.
