Funds And Grants For Big Project

Our new building project is currently with the planning office and all we do now is wait. But we want to get cracking on securing funding or at least knowing who to apply to. If anyone has been successful in securing funding and grants for a large project, like new premises, I'd be grateful if you could let me know who gives out the moolah. We were hoping for a big chunk from the lottery but have now found out that we can only apply for a maximum of 50k. Awards for all and ITV's people's millions is lottery also so can only apply once. We have missed our county council funds as we couldn't provide enough detail for them in time. Look foward to your replies! p…

Hi My management committee want to consider performance related pay. Does anyone do this and if so what sort of criteria do you use? I can't work out how you would measure things like TLC and bonding with keychildren which to my mind are a crucial part of the job. I understand that timekeeping, attendance, going on courses etc can be measured but so much of our job can't (or so I feel). We are a small team and I think it could end up being very devisive. Meeting is tomorrow so any advice would be greatly received. Caro

Hi all Nice subject for a Saturday afternoon - sorry! My little corner of Kent is in the grip of a nasty tummy bug........ I have always excluded for 48 hours from last bout of sickness or diarrhoea - primary school have just sent letters home to parents stating 24 hours exclusion Have I gone mad (please feel free to say yes) Where did I get 48 hours from? I think from HPA......... How long is your exclusion?

Morning all, To all the hardworking Mum's on here (like me) Happy Mother's Day, I was woken with a cup of luke warm tea from youngest son aged 10 who said 'happy mothers day mum, can i go on my Xbox' then tootled off to his room! Oh bless him.. it's the first cuppa he's made me. even though i know we all will be working on something or other today have a good one.

Sorry to bring boring domesticity to the forum but our oven (at home) has broken again and we want to buy an new one instead of getting it repaired again. But what to buy? Can anyone recommend a make or model that they have found reliable. We need a built in one and the one we are replacing had two ovens but more than anything I want RELIABILITY! Caro

Archie my border terrier is a year old on the first of March and we have been debating getting a second dog. My husband and I have experience of owning one dog but never two so this has been a harder decision. We've been watching for a local litter to come up but I've been pestering my other half to ring Archies breeder to see if she had another litter due. He's got the most fantastic personality.He's rung this morning and she has a litter 10 days old!!!
