Anybody who has me as a friend on Facebook will have seen that over the past few months I've been posting a link to a contest Miley Cyrus is having to win a record deal. A friend of a friend entered in October 2008 and was one of 5,000 people. Since then they've had rounds for the top 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, 8, 6, 4, 3 and now, over a year later, She's in the final two. Today is the last day for voting, and I'd be so grateful if you could go here and listen to her singing an original song It's such a big opportunity and I know she's truly thankful for any votes. Thank you!

I am getting observed in PSED.....the subject leader is wanting me to teach the SEAL topic Going for Goals....I have the document but I am wanting some exciting and motivating ideas...as my 4 year olds find sitting in a circle for a sustain period of time IMPOSSIBLE!!!! Does anyone know any stories that would be good to link to this theme....setting goals....achieving goals/targets....working hard....persevering?? Thank you

Hi all, I'm just in need of a hug and knew where to turn for it. I'm feeling low after my first chemo and my poor daughter has had to go and sit an A level exam today. I can't believe how hard this has hit me but I can get through it with the support of all my lovely friends.

I would just like to say a big thankyou to all you wonderful people on here who helped me with my first assignment Transitions, of level 5 (2nd year of FD) after the summer off my brain wasnt working at all!! but with plenty of prompts and ideas from you all, got the results back and I got 58% which I was really pleased with. I get the results of my second assignment Methods of Enquiry for which I did Does television advertising contribute to childhood obesity. so thankyou for the kick start, now i'm onto leadership and management! looking at two theories and roles of leaders and managers and legislation!! not my most favourite topic I have to be honest!

I've been childminding for 12+ years and thoroughly enjoying it BUT... I'm now in the 2nd year fo my FD in Children's and Young People's Integrated Services. I signed up for it when the children I was caring for all started full time school and it seemed the "right" time, both for me and for my daughter who's now 15. Our home would be ours and not full of toddlers and toys when we both had homework to do. However, one family then announced they were expecting and so I kept going and took on 2 new clients, too. One family left last year which was, to be honest, a relief. I was able to manage without replacing the income and it gave me more free time. No…
