For those of you who may be possibly thinking about having an elf visit this year, I went into the card factory and they have lots of elf stuff. They had some lovely plush elves at £2.99, a boy and a girl! Stickers, colour in advent calendar, elf selfie props, note writing kit with little envelopes and stickers in, signs. Lots of lovely stuff from 99p so not very expensive.

So I have finally found a hall to run a nursery from . The problem I have is I need to pay rent on the hall as soon as I sign the contract at £800 a week  I have completed the Ofsted DBS (already done medical in present job as manager)will pay the £220  fee but will have to wait up to 25 weeks for them to visit premises. Can I get some ideas on how long others waiting for this registration visit? When they send the letter to state the date of visit how much time do they give you. I'm trying to work this out with the hall owner as if its going to take 25 weeks I'm not going to start setting up all my equipment yet as it will be a pack away nursery.…

Hello there, peeps! I'm looking for some good wording for an advertisement. We need to have some bank staff or parents who can come and cover randomly at preschool to cover either a full shift, or perhaps just an odd hour here and there for lunch ratios or session ratios. You have done this more than me - has anyone got a template or whatever that I could use? Many thanks in advance

Please can you take a look at this link, this club have worked so, so hard to raise a huge amount of money to have a new gig built. They are now on the last push for the oars! It would be amazing if anyone wanted to pledge a small amount or could just share the link with everyone they know. Thank you! www.crowdfunder.co.uk/a-new-boat-for-Coverack-gig-club

Just musing really...... My first thought would be 'not a lot'.......but that's not really true....... I love the colours of autumn I enjoy cosy nights in front of the wood-burner - usually in my pjs by 8pm at this time of year ::1a Have been outside this afternoon, well wrapped up, happily engaged in some grass cutting - hmmm - this might be another year when the grass forgets to stop growing  I like the change of 'menu' - we tend to eat salad, salad and a bit more salad through the summer, but do like the classic winter warmers that I am cooking now.......that reminds me must find that old slow cooker thread for inspiration! Anyway - enoug…

Bit of a long shot as I'm sure the forum population is watching some stuff on telly (not my cup of tea!) but if anyone is, like me, uninterested in watching people cook, then I'll be in the chat room possibly talking to myself....

So I thought we could post some photo's of where we live but as someone pointed out we may not all live in very photogenic places. So what about if we post photo's of places that are special to us? Either where we live or from our holidays? My first photo is of my son and dog on a beach less than half a mile from my front door.
