Dear all Steve has asked me to let you all know that sadly Helen's mum passed away peacefully in the early hours of this morning. I know in the days ahead your kind words of support will offer her much comfort. Sue FSF HQ

I thought I'd share this website with everyone - I Used To Believe It's full of stories of what people used to believe when they were little, some of them are really funny!

HI, well stupidly i added some of my staff to my friends on facebook, so i can see their profile and they can see mine... sometimes i bloody hate it.... so far i have seen boobs that i did not want to see, drunken photos (okay okay, i know most of them are young and what they do in their own time is up to them, but seeing my senior staff members boobs makes me cringe)... anyhow tonight one of the staff has put a comment up that is clearly related to her day at work and affects another staff member (who happens to be my sister) , comment along the lines of "what a day, can't do right for doing wrong". to which others from work have added comments, i feel when C…

I must be mad......here's the story......... My mums 80th Birthday on 31st August, as a present I got her a 'novelty' 1 square foot of land in Scotland, so she can now be called 'Lady Margaret of Kincairn' . I also said I would take her back to her birthplace in Scotland but she asked if I would take her to Rothesay instead, a place where she lived during her childhood, just before the war. So Thurs AM I leave KENT and arrive in Rothesay (via the ferry) at 7:30 pm, well we missed the 6:15 crossing so had to wait until the 7pm one  ) So Friday, a trip down memory lane around the Isle of Bute, especially Rothesay, leave around 3pm to start the journey h…

Looking For The Best Way!

Hello, I know its only been the first week back!!!! From now we have changed our opening times and open 8.30 - 3.30, but we do still offer 9 - 3 so as you can see we have children coming in at different times and going home at different times...this is fine and is monitored well. What Im looking for and asking for your opinions is: How do you send children home...do you have the parents waiting outside the building and you call the children to get their belongings then send them out? or Do you have parents ring the bell and they come in and organise their own children and take them? (with a member of staff present!) What do you find works best and why?

As you may know, I've been running the competitions since the end of last year. I try to vary the type of competitions we run so that there is something for everyone at some point. Inge came up with the suggestion for last months competition which got me thinking that perhaps a few more of you might have good ideas for future competitions. If so, I would love for you to share them with me and where possible I will endeavour to include them sometime. So don't be shy! Any suggestions anyone?
