I got it! :( I am really made up!! Intreview went well. At the end the chair ( a lovely home husband man ) said what hours would i be intrested in. I said as many as they could offer me!! Then told him situation with sainsburys etc and that would love to give it up but to do that would need min of 17 hrs (which I thought was really doubtful). He then said they were looking for 2 staff members and that there was about 50 hrs going. The hours are 8.30 til 1.30 and then afternoons upto 4pm. I said could do early as son could get into before school club no problem. However, would struggle for after school club place as I have previously looked at this and …

Well after 11 years today was my last d . It has been a lovely morning, we went to the local park for a teddy bears picnic and had a lovely time. Then back to the setting. All of the parents had clubed together to buy me some lovely gifts. I have also been in undated with other gifts and cards and now have the challenge of trying to remember who brought me what.!!!! It has been both an emotiional and happy morning. I know I have made the right decision to leave although I do not have another job to go to, but the EYFS finally put the nails in the coffin for me!!!!! I shall enjoy the next two weeks abroad on holiday and then possibly look for some part ti…

He said I need to send some more personal details ...... date of birth, home address, phone nos., email, previous surnames (only my maiden name!) - this is crazy - of course they have all …

Hi all I have known about this since Friday - but had decided not to post about it........but now feel in need of some kind words from my forum friends....... A member of staff has tested 'positive' for Swine Flu, she is absolutely fine and recovering at home. As luck would have it she was last at work on Friday 26th June, began to feel ill on the evening of Sunday 28th, 'swabbed' on Monday 29th and confirmed positive on Friday 3rd July. I have been in constant contact with the HPA and their advice has been to 'carry on as normal', they emailed a letter and information sheets to me for distribution to parents. Two parents have reacted very strongly an…

Hi, I am an NQT and although I have had a fabbie year and love my class, it has been challenging at times, especially due to the behaviour of two children. One particlaur boy has been challenging all year and his behaviour is constantly disruptive and he seems to deliberately seek out trouble - he lacks social skills and I have tried to work on them but not much parental support/back up. He constantly hurts other children, especially during carpet time and will often wreck children's work (models, drawings, writing - it just seems to tempting). I thought I was finally getting somewhere before the move to Year 1 as after a particularly bad start to the week he…
