The forecast is pretty good. Are you having a BBQ? After a wet weekend in Wales in our caravan last week I'm looking forward to some sunshine. I'll be clearing out some the outside toy store and putting some on Freecycle, trying to write an assignement on managing an early years setting (indoors because I won't be able to see the laptop screen in the garden) and hopefully doing a BBQ lunch on Sunday for friends we haven't seen for a year. What are you looking forward to?

Just had a phone call from my daughter to tell me she has her results from her degree. She gained a 2:1 in Classics and I am so proud of her. At the minute she is on her way home and I can't wait for her to get here. She has been at Glasgow for the last 4 years, and like all things in life, she's had her up's and down's but she survived, and I just want to tell everyone jackie.

I was really pleased last night because I only had 3 reports left to do - was up reasonably early so I thought I's try and get them done. Went to turn my laptop on and it did a long beep and is now saying that the boot drive is corrupt. Now besides all the other work that is on it, which I don't really care about at the moment, there are the 24 reports that I have finished! I have spent so much of the last week doing them and I will be so upset if it can't be retrieved! The really annoying part is that I normally back them up on a memory stick as I go along but for some reason this year I didn't! Aaaagggghhhh!!!!!

HI all we have had the worst week ever in nursery, all staff have been stressed beyond believe and i can say all of us are glad that the weekend is here. i have spent the day in the office, but at 4:15pm went out into the garden with the children and other staff. in the garden we have a little jungle climber climbing frame which has a slide on, its a plastic frame and slide and all kind of slots in together. somehow the slide had been broken off and needed to be slotted together. myslef and another member of staff got it mostly slotted in apart from one section which was being stubborn. i bent forward and began to pull as the other member of staff pushed, someho…

hello, i have been going through out puzzles this week and have noticed we have a lot with 1 or 2 pieces missing...i'm sure this is a problem that we all share...you know, children putting little things in their little pockets and going home with them and then they just get lost. So I thought that perhaps I would photograph the puzzles I have with missing pieces to see if anyone has a spare, and also to offer incomplete puzzles as spares for others...what do you think?

just seen the terrible news about nursery woman and the photos - obviously it is under investigation but what an awful worry for all those parents who have children attending here or have had children here in the past .

I had an email today all about Bing - Microsoft's new search engine. Visually it looks good, and the results are quick and relevant which is a bonus! I searched EYFS and the FSF came up on the fourth page, so I searched HappyMaz and mummy spud's post telling me I could get double points on my petrol at Tesco came up as the number one item! Have a look at Bing and see what you make of it! Maz
