Chicken Pox!

Arrrgh!!!!! I had chicken pox when I was 18 in my Gap Year and thought that was it - phew! Unfortunately, the fab Nursery my niece attends has a bit of an outbreak. As my sister is pregnant and she is around 20 weeks, her consultant advised her to keep my neice off until it clears up which the Nursery have been fantastic about. The consultant advised as she had already had a scare with slap cheek and then hand foot & mouth! I have been going in to the Nursery as part of a pre-planned programme gain some Nursery experience once a week. I spoke to my GP said I was ok as I had already had it and as long as I was careful and made sure I didn't touch un-crusted…

There is no easy way to say this... Sadly, Tina, the Manager of Hersden Under 5's Preschool died suddenly on Friday night. My thoughts are with her family, and especially today, my thoughts are with her Preschool staff team and all the children who will, over the next few days be trying to come to terms with the initial shock of this tragedy. Tina's sudden death has affected the whole village and further, she has touched the hearts of so many, and through her work has become a part of many, many families lives. She will be greatly missed. Just wanted to post to say that we got the letter yesterday saying which school my little girl will be going to in September and we got our first choice! I'm sooooo pleased. There were 3 good schools to choose from, each had different things we liked about it, different strengths, and we couldn't make up our minds, kept going round in circles etc etc... Then we went to visit a village school which is a bit further away, mostly just because as a teacher I wanted to see what it was like - we pretty much had decided before we went that we wouldn't apply even if it was really great. Evening all!! I know what you are thinking "Why does spud want advice about a mobile phone??" Here's the thing - I have a samsung G600 and a memory card with almost 300 songs on it!! Do I buy another samsung in the hope that the memory card fits it and I keep my songs and if so, what samsung do I get? or Do I go for a nokia 5800 express music??
