Hi there As part of one of my units for my NVQ level 3, I have been asked to compile a list of all the opportunites for training in my local area. Have been searching now for the guts of an hour and can find nothing, zero, ziltch!!!! It could be because I im Northern Ireland or maybe am putting the wrong terminology in the search bit! Have put in training courses in Northern Ireland, and it came up with a site for courses, but there is nothing on any of the catagories in the site!! I was wondering if anyone new the names of any good courses, possibly to do with arts and crafts, personal development etc, then hopefully I could type them in and something w…

I went on the PEAL training today and really enjoyed it. On the way home on the bus there were two young women behind me, student teachers. One was reading out the work some of the children on her placement had done, stories by the sound of it, and she was making comments. Whilst discussing one particular child's work their conversation went like this: "How do you spell adventurous? Is it adventrus?" "No, I think it's adventorous." "That doesn't look right. Oh well never mind she will know what I mean." Oh my goodness! There is no hope for these poor children with role models like that! Linda

I am not happy at all in my job. I took up a job back in November 08, hours fitted in great with college. I was on a months probationary period. All was fine in the first couple of weeks, since then I feel its gone downhill. AT the start of the 3rd week I had my months meeting, got told that it would be extended for a few weeks(not told how long for). No letter had been given stating how long for. The same week I then noticed the leader 'winging' at me all the time. The following week I was off ill (struggled to complete an assignment as well). Evening Everyone, hope you're all well and have had a lovely weekend. I was just wondering how you all deal with the little things at work that really bug you? And I'm talking about things that would make you look really pathetic if you challenged someone about it or ask someone about it..... Hi all Just wanted to share a bit of news. I have been the manager of a pack away setting for 12 years and had to share our premises with a youth club (absolute nightmare). For the last three years I have been trying to negotiate with the Local Authority sole use of the building. Well I've done it!! I can't believe it!!
