I am unwell at the moment and have been taking 2 things to help me get better as quicky as possible. 1. Co-codamol of the effervescent kind. I used to be OK taking these as I only took them on a very rare occassion, even the taste was OK. Don't get me wrong they are very good, but have got to the stage now where they taste absolutely disgusting and even the thought of them makes me heave!! 2. Orange and zinc vitamin suppliment, again of the effervescent kind!!! My sister, whos a nurse, advised me to take these to fight my ailments!!! It is the most digusting thing I have ever tasted and its fizzy. Have been taking these for 5 days now and everyday its a ba…

Is anyone else surprised that hospitals dont routinely check children against the child protection register? I hadnt really ever thought about it but am baffled after hearin git on the news, that it doesnt already happen. So often the child deaths that appear in the media tell of a catalogue of injuries that I suppose I presumed there would be a warning system in place a bit like the police have to flag up veichles with no MOT, insurance or registered keeper. I find it very odd.

A while ago I was contacted by a company called Invitation, that supplies discount voucher books to help with fundraising. The book of vouchers cover leisure, entertainment, days out, health and beauty, retail, restaurants, etc, etc. The book costs the parents £19.99 and the pre-school would keep £4.00 of this. The discount varies - 2 for 1, 25% off, etc. The company have contacted me again and are sending me a sample voucher book. The company have a website that I have looked at - I was wondering whether any of you have used them - or know of any school that has. Sue J

Here I am deep in work avoidance mode and spotted a news item on msn about how the lady whose nails are (or rather, were) officially the longest in the world has lost them in a car crash. Click here to read it in glorious technicolour! The lady's condition is described as 'serious but not life threatening' by the way. It led me to wonder if I was in the Guiness Book of World Records, which record would I break? Which led me to think about which records some Forum members might hold. longest single sentence in a post? most smileys in a single post? longest time in chat? most mentions of a well-known supermarket? most encyclopaedic knowledge of flora or fau…

So! Went to IKEA yesterday and bought loads of great stuff for home and school! Thanks for all the ideas - if I'd been on my own instead of with my husband I would have spent an absolute fortune!! My favourite buy for school was the nesting tins - really great! Also the free tape measures - tee-hee!

Hi all, I have just had a look on the list of recognised level 6 qualifications and cannot find my degree that I have spent the last 3 years slogging my guts out on. Also some of the other BA Hons Early Years degree's are not recognised and need topping up to level 6. A bit shocked that this wasn't raised before by the CWDC. Anyone else been downscaled. Net xx
