Currently we wear polo shirts at Preschool, with our logo on. But polo shirts seem to have lost their appeal with the staff, and i'm hearing comments such as 'everyone wears them, even girls on checkouts' and 'they aren't smart' and things like that. Obviously we wear them because they have flexibility (we can bend and stretch and move about easily) and are easily laundered. So what does everyone else wear? I'm wondering whether to go along the lines of polycotton in a type of nursing tunic with some back vents. does anyone else wear these, and how are you finding them?

Just Had A Tooth Extracted....ouch

I've just been to the dentist because I cracked my tooth on new years eve. I was amazed, because my appointment was at 2.30 and I was back home at 3.00 after having my tooth out. You have to bear in mind that my dentist is in the next town and it takes approx 15-20 minutes to get there. MY daughter in law picked me up at 2.00, I went in just before my time and by 2.45 I was back in reception minus my tooth and £44.60. The numbness is slowly wearing off and I now have a little discomfort. I hope it heals quickly, I'm supposed to be going out for a meal on Thursday. Mary

by Guest- 12 replies

Hi, My 8yr old is going through early puberty - hair changes, mood swings, body odour etc. She has had blood tests which reveal nothing awful happening but I have one very confused little girl who asks "Why do I have to use deodrant- my big sister who is 10 doesn't". I have xplained that people grow at different speeds and sometimes things happen to one person and not to another until later but I need to find a suitable book to read to her about puberty, periods etc and don't know what to use. I already have "What's happening to me? by Usborne" but thats not really in language for an 8 yr old. Any ideas or support would be welocme as i feel useless as a parent at the mo…

Hi all - Unfortunately Peggy was taken into hospital a couple of days ago with a so far undiagnosed medical problem. It sounds as though she's likely to be in for a while so if anyone is PMing her with any queries don't be surprised if she doesn't respond. I'm sure you will all join with me in sending best wishes and hope for a speedy recovery!

Hi all. Its been a while as we (as a family) have been away for new year for the first time ever!! We just got home........ much as I loved being away I haven't enjoyed the trip home. Drive to the airport, long wait for plane, a trip home where I couldn't sleep and then feeling sick with tiredness on the car journey home. Oh joy!! But we did spend New Year in New York so its a small price to pay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Boy was it cold though! Anyway wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy 2009. Must be time for bed now............... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
