Last night I noticed someone couldn't sleep and was posting... so I thought I'd start a post (my first ever) for the can't sleepers I have a very old dog who has to 'pay a visit' to the garden in the wee small hours - she takes so long with her 'routine' I have now gotten into the habit of checking the forum while waiting for her... I would go back to bed but I'd fall asleep and leave her out to freeze! So the point of this post is for people to add their random can't sleep comments. xx

Hi All, Our nursery contract says that parents have to pay for 52 weeks of the year. We usually close over Christmas and have never had a problem with parents paying for the 52 weeks. However, we have two parents this year who are refusing to pay. What happens elsewhere. I thought this was the norm for nurseries and was following what everyone else did. We are closed from 29, 30, 31st Any comments would be appreciated.

Ok so I woke up to a white ground with the snow. I knew it had been snowing has mum had come into my bedroom a few times to tell me whilst I was trying to sleep. I walked to work this morning, the gritters hadn't been around and the main road was difficult to drive a very long que of traffic to get into town. My trousers were soked though with lorries going the other way driving too fast. Work was fun tried to make a snowman, threw snowballs at each other and made footprints in the snow. I was wet though and so was the children when we got back inside. The children liked seeing the snow, I bet a few of them have made snowmen at home this afternoon. I walke…

Well its a big day in our house! My funny, beautiful daughter is finally 18! Its fair to say she's been in a state of excitement all week: counting down the number of sleeps until her birthday finally arrives just as she did aged seven! For me it will be an emotional day: my own mum didn't live to see my 18th birthday and so I'm very aware of how lucky I am to be able to share this day with her and the rest of my family. So happy birthday, MrsWeasley! Have a fantastic day, my lovely girl and if I could give you but one gift on your 18th birthday it would be a lifetime's love, health and happiness. Your gran may never have held you in her arms but I know she ho…

Hi all, Just to let you all know have had my last day at pre-school. Went in today and found a party , newspapers, parents and children past and present from the last 10 years. It was a fun , and my husband thinks we live in a florists shop, they also gave me a rose to name, (which may take a bit of time) along with champagne, glasses, rose vase engraved etc etc. will I miss it?.. perhaps a bit but I will enjoy being able to go in to read a story or see how they are developing now.. Now for me time....... Inge

I've been asked to give you an update on Narnia's condition after her operation (I'm one of her daughters!) The operation went well and the surgeon seems to think he's taken away all of the nasty stuff - and she says to tell you she wore the stickers.................. She would also like to let you know that she loves the flowers you all sent to her and I know she'll thank you herself once she's home from hospital. I have been reading all the kind thoughts and comments about her in your other posts and I will pass them on to her. Thank you!
