Isn't it comforting to know that, when you are about to become a polar bear’s breakfast, your friend is standing there taking photos to share with his email buddies?

Hi guys, I promised I would keep you informed with my level 3 resubmission mark, so here it is... 97 I am over the moon, it has given me A's in all the assignments. Thank you again for all your help and support. What to do next is the question, both EYPS and a PGCE have been suggested. I need to spend some time looking into each one, but if anyone has any opinions or suggestions I would love to hear them. Salsa

Working Hours
by Guest- 9 replies

Hi all Am new to Nursery after several years in Reception and finding it all quite a challenge! Have recently discovered your brilliant forum and have already got loads of new ideas - thanks chaps. However, have one big problem and that's my working hours. At the moment I am working an extra hour per day compared to my colleagues and am not sure how to go about reclaiming some much needed de-stressing time! Do any of you know if I can claim time off in lieu of these hours worked or am I at the mercy of my head teacher? I had a feeling I'd read I could have a day off each month but perhaps that's only wishful thinking??? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Curry Disaster
by Guest- 7 replies

I just did something so stupid. Came in from uni with my memory stick round my neck, having lost it's cover shortly after buying it. I was hungry and went to fetch curry which I'd carefully set going in my crock pot before going out to work today and ..... it fell in. No reading from it when I plug it in...has anyone ever done anything similar...any bright ideas for info retrieval. If all else fails most of it is backed up apart from the good powerpoints I taught from this evening - although one of my students did copy those onto his stick at uni. So I'll be able to get him to email it back to me. So maddening AOB

We are on half term, and im really trying hard to do my SEF. Am i the only one finding it hard, and very long winded. Surely im not expected to put in all i do. I also feel im repeating myself, all the infomation im putting in my SEF is in my extensive operational plan. So why my children are busy playing down stairs (where i really want to be) im repeating work and putting it in a different format! Blow it, Im off swimming with the kids SEF can wait!

Is It Time To Call It A Day
by Guest- 15 replies

Do you ever feel like its time to call it a day? Do you ever wonder if what you are diong is any good? or do you ever feel like you are just totally rubbish at what you do? I feel pretty bad about my job at the moment dont feel like i want to do it anymore, well not so much not wanting to do it as not very good at it , i spend my day worrying about sef's planning and wether we are meeting our childrens needs etc etc etc, and in between this i race around the nursery sorting out activities for staff and i am always ending up playing catch up. Dont feel like im getting anywhere at the moment, feel pretty rubbish at this job.
