Why are we waiting............................... Where are these workmen who are going to do insulate the house? Errr I amsume stuck on the motoway trying to get across the boarder. Why I here you cry............. Are you ready for this? A 40 foot lorry full of toliet rolls was on fire very early on this moring closed all lanes. So that explains why they didn't turn up at 8.30 am this morning. Hope they get here soon, I moved the car in antipation for them to arrive on time. Need to go out at lunch time, leaving mum on her own and I am now bored! Beth

Well I can't belive I have been a manager for 6 months. I got the higest score out of the few that applied at the time and it fits in with my FD course. It has been a very busy time; sorting out the planning, trying to put paperwork in some sort of order etc. On the other hand I have had staff leaving (next one due to go very soon), plus other things that can't be mentioned on here that spring to mind. Having refected on what has been done plus a couple of issues that have arised lately. I am feeling down and that I don't belong right at the top of the management level. I think I would cope better at senior room level or equievlent as I am struggling with some…

I wonder if any of you lovely people can help me? I am trying to write my CV! I havent had one in many years as usually an application form is all that is required. Can anyone give any hints or tips? At the moment I am using a template from microsoft and it lists 'Objectives'?? What is supposed to go in there? (SORRY BEING REALLY THICK HERE!!) Qualifications - that would be Level 3, Level 4 etc, then it goes on to Education - (GCSE's etc) But where would the short courses I have attended ie First Aid, CP etc etc Thanks you jx

Hi guys, I thought I would share the good news. I have just had my last assignment back for my level 3, and I have got 78 marks, a good B grade. I am going to resubmit part of it to get over 80 marks, which will give me A grades in all the graded assignments. As you can imagine I am chuffed. So many thanks to those who have helped me and encouraged me. Salsa

As some of you may know, I'm not at work at the moment, however I am still in close contact with quite a few people. Apparently I'm better off at home at the moment due to the mood of everyone. Partly this is due to in school stuff but mostly because of the recent pay review for council workers. This week the TAs have found out that in order to keep their school holidays they are going to have to work for 36.5 hours a week plus an extra 203 hours over the year (236 if they've been there less than 5 years) and they've taken a pay cut, around 1k a year. (a couple of staff have had a 20 quid rise) It's terrible news for them and I just wondered if this was happening to an…

Hi All Looking for some advice I am looking at hiring a villa to sleep 12 (must be mad) in majorca or spain for a week next year but would like to go with a reliable company a little worried with recent company's going under all the ones I have looked at do not sleep that many has any one any suggestions or reccomendations??
