We've been to Twycross Zoo today - me, hubby, our 13 year old daughter and the 8mth old baby boy I childmind. A fabulous day for all and a truly magical moment in The Tropical House. Entry to The Tropical House is by (free) timed tickets to avoid overcrowding. We saved it until last and I'm so glad we did. There are iguana, a sloth, tropical birds, turtles and fruit bats and butterflies free flying. Plus Marmoset monkeys!! We were at the front of the group and while waiting for everyone to catch up my hubby suddenly pointed out a baby Marmoset sitting on the handrail no more than 10 inches from the baby in the pushchair, at his eye level. Yahoo, I've just got myself a Wii fit from ebay (at a good price) I had a go on my daughter-in-laws Wii fit at the weekend, I've used muscles I didn't know existed I don't normally succumb to the latest fad, especially anything to do with exercise, but my weekend taster was such fun (especially watching hubby do the hoola hoop I just had to get one. So I may be back soon asking for ideas on how to relieve 'very toned' but aching muscles. any other Wii fitters out there? Peggy

Yesterday I took my husband for his Xmas pressie experience. Of course selfishly I also booked myself into the same thing so of course I had to 'suffer' the experience as well. We went to 'Meet the Birds' at a falconry centre and it was fantastic. We were shown lots of wonderful birds, owls, Harris Hawks, eagles, etc. Harry Potter fans would love the Snowy Owls. Then we went out on a field in the Cheshire countryside and could handle and fly them. Fantastic!
