Hi Well this is quite a radical move really!!!! You get so used to peoples pictures it always throws me slightly when folk change    Anyway, I have been a member of the forum since 2003 and for at least the last 7 years I have always had a picture of Finlay the office dog as my avatar but I now have my own hound and so I thought I would start the new year with his picture (fear not Finlay is still in fine fettle and continues to steal anybody's lunch that is left unattended). So this is Billy our rescued working cocker who is a delight Happy New Year ::1a

Hi I wonder if anyone can advise me. My friend is looking at making activity packs for children with ASD to sell on etsy but she isn't sure whether they need to be safety tested or anything.. Can anyone shed any light on this?

In today's programme, David suggests that a misunderstanding of neuroscience has led us to put far too much weight on the first three years of life. He says we should rebalance education spending away from the early years in favour of creating more opportunities to learn later in life. The David refers to David Willetts former Conservative MP and Universities Minister.

One party down and one to go. We should have had 17 younger children today but had 9, another turning up 45 mins late and two more 65 mins late. One collected half an hour late, another parent missing one of the 5 festive songs. One parent, the parties tomorrow, no she's just had the party! Looking forward to tomorrow. Not sure how many people have said 11.45am. Noooo you need to come back at 11.45am you need to drop your child off at 9.50am, with a plate of food to share and an Xmas jumper for text Santa. Let's see how well that goes..... I wouldnt mind but the full details has been displayed outside since half term, rewritten on the whiteboard this week,…

I'm not on the forum so much these days but I couldn't let the season pass without telling you all Happy Christmas, so..... Happy Christmas everyone. It isnt always the best time of year for people, some of my family and friends have a new empty seat at the table this year and although losing someone is never easy, this time of year is just plain worse. I hope that no matter how your year has been you are able to enjoy your Christmas with family and friends, surrounded by fun and laughter, love and understanding. Wishing you all a fabulously sparkly Happy New Year ::1a ::1a ::1a ::1a ::1a ::1a ::1a

Ok, bit of a long shot, but I'll be popping into the chat room this evening, so if anyone fancies a festive natter in between present wrapping, mince pies, and rubbish telly, then do come along. I have a tree, and I'm sure I can rustle up some festive nibbles before then. Bring your preferred tipple, but the kettle will be on too. I'll check in about 8 ish. If no one is able to join me, I'll just have to talk to myself, which is a seriously bad proposition. See you there....
