Not sure where to put this, but thought theres lots of traffic here so maybe someone can clarify something re funding for me? We have had a rather agitated phone call today from one of our feeder preschools, saying that they do 100s of observations to get their funding and unless we do the same, which we dont and carry them on we wont get funding? We can only assume that they are in a roundabout way asking us what transfer info we need. Anyone got any other ideas?

Hi, I need to get information on schools in a really broad area of the south east since we are planning on moving. Is there an easy way of getting lists of schools in any given area with links to inspection reports? We haven't narrowed our search down to any town/village as we are quite fussy about the type of house we would like to buy, coupled with other difficult criteria and know that we'll have to look far and wide to get something that fits the bill. However, I am wasting so much time trying to find information about schools. Also, should I pay any attention whatsoever to those league tables? I want my children to go to a school where they will be challeng…

i was on a course on thursday (not the best in the world!!) when i started talking about how good this site is etc when to my right i was asked "your not debatwrittle are you?" then passed a piece of paper saying 'i'm shiny'!!! it was great to meet a fellow member of the overworked, underpaid, low budgeted, addicted to work and of course the forum club, who just so happens to work very near to me and i'm going to her setting next week on another course! thanks shiny for the pm i have sent one back but i dont know if i did it right!!! i think this forum is the best!!

Having a bit of time on my hands this morning I decided to read my first post, this was promted by all the new members arriving and because I'd just noticed my number of posts was about to reach 4000. I just wondered how or even if, I had said hello to everyone. Well, I found myself reading a few of my old topics and have to say I certainly knew how to moan when I was in charge of playgroup! Apparently the place drove me potty to a certain extent. Time to let off steam.... I was called up for Jury Service, starting yesterday. I got myself all geared up for it, brought work home that I could sit and do at the courts, blocked two weeks out of my work diary, etc. etc......and now nothing has happened and I haven't been needed yet!! I knew this was likely to happen, having listened to other people who have sat around for two weeks, but it's SOOOO frustrating! I can't settle to anything because I don't know what I'm going to be doing each day until it comes! My head's all over the place, it's awful!
