Inspired by Steves Laughing Lenny thread, made me think about music and lyrics and what they mean to us. So, I thought I'd ask, What is 'your "Our song"? Hubby and I have two.............. We went out together in our teens, our song then was Nillson "Without You" because he joinedthe boys service (then Army) at age 15 yrs, He was my first love. We split up as his Army career progressed and I stayed at home. I am going back to work tomorrow!! Haven't been at work since breaking up for the 6 weeks holiday last year as I took the full 9 months off for my maternity leave. I am feeling quite upset at leaving my beautifully baby Poppy (although she will be home with her dad). But more than anything I am feeling nervous!!! I have been in the job for 9 years, and having this time off has been great. Just feel like it is a long time since I have been in the saddle!!! May take me a while to get my confidence back.

Hi Everyone, I finished my signing course today and i must say i really enjoyed it I have my level 1 assessment in two weeks fingers crossed i pass then i can progress to level 2. I am really amazed at what we have learnt in 6 short weeks and the children are really benefiting. Just thought i would share.

I remember there being some fans of Leonard Cohen on here. Just thought I would let you know he is playing the O2 area in July. I went to the O2 for the first time last night to see Boyzone (I know but they were very good) the venue is one of the best I have been to. Well worth a visit even if you just want to go to the cinema and have a meal.

Hi there I hope some of you can help with this - I've just got through to the second round of a nursery teacher's job - and my letter said that I would be involved in a 15-20min role play situation, followed by scenario questions. Any ideas about how to prepare? I'm thinking that the scenario questions could be to do with anything - parents, behaviour management of children, child protection etc., but the role play bit has me worried!! I'm thinking they might get someone to pretend to be an angry parent, or they might give me a box of resources and get me to plan what I would do with them?! Has anyone had any experience of this?? Any help gratefully received. …

I have just had to tell a new parent that I couldn't take on their child as we possibly won't be open and I'm gutted and oh so sad. It is something that has been looming for the last few months but having to admit it to a parent even though I've been threatening it for months was just the last straw. We were given notice by the church at Easter that our current lease would be finishing and that we would have to negotiate a new lease for September. We tried to do that but the church would only give us mornings which we said we would take rather than close. But unfortuantely they have now decided that they need the building and that they can't let us have it until 20…
