My 13 year old daughter needs to know "how to separate a mixture of gases". She needs this by Monday. Anyone know any web sites to visit or can give any clues she would be most grateful.

Definition Of A Day Off?

Had a day off from work today as I'm doing a double shift on Friday. Here's how I spent it: 1. 6.00am take husband to work - 28 mile round trip 2. Get kids ready for school - packed lunches etc etc and hang out washing (started at 5am) 3. Drop kids at 2 different schools 4. Get roped in to helping out at school for a couple of hours or so (I'm CRB checked and down as relief TA) 5. Get home, quick cuppa then take eldest son for haircut in preparation for job interview at lunchtime 6. Go to bank for husband and at same time get card/present for youngest son's friends birthday party on Friday 7. 1pm - take son to job interview and get some bits and pieces from near…

Hi everyone, I would like to pick your brains. We are currently in a portacabin which we are quickly growing too big for. I currently take 16 children per session. From September I will be opeing afternoons due to the number of children on our waiting list. We will be full morning and afternoons!. We are a charity run nursery and the committee would like to expand the premises to allow more children to come to our fantastic nursery! My committee have asked me to write a list of what I would like in a new nursery building. Starting with its size and moving onto rooms and furniture. Has anyone already gone thru this ? or is there any were I can find more info…

Hi all Just a quick message to say that I had a beautiful baby girl yesterday morning. It was quite quick compared to my two other labours, no time for an epidural this time! I had Ella at 7.34 am and we were home by 3-30 that afternoon. She weighed 8lb 3 and a half ounces. I don't know where I was hiding all that as I had a really small bump this time. Ryan is being really sweet with her. His first words this morning were 'mummy where's the baby?' Bless him, he is finding it difficult when she is being fed but I think he's coping well for a two and a half year old. Laura

I have decided to enter the East Midlands Grand Prix 2008 races this year. The first one is this Tuesday 6th May. I shall be running around SILVERSTONE RACE COURSE (twice!) - how cool is that. 10K next one: Rugby 6 miles, then Bedford 6 miles, then Corby 5 miles, then Weedon 10k, then Banbury 5 miles, then Harborough 5 miles, and finally Milton Keynes 10k. This should keep me fit for the next 8 weeks . I am also doing a sponsored 7 mile run on 11th May for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. Is anyone else doing the grand prix - would love to hear if you have and what the courses are like as this is my first time! Wish me luck everyone

Death Of A Colleague

This week we lost a dearly loved, friend and member of our staff. The head's initial comment was that school should be 'represented' at her funeral. Having spoken to most staff it is obvious that the majority would like to attend as she was not only a colleague but very dear friend to many of us. I had a word with the head and told him that most of us would like to go, that the implication of this would be school closure for all or part of the day and that given the unusual situation -she was still in service- that this seemed the right and respectful thing to do. He'd already spoken to the chair of governors who said absolutely not, the parents wouldn't go a…

I know it's late but I've just printed off a calender. (from a very good site) HERE AND IT SAYS MOTHERS DAY IS ON 11TH MAY. I always thought Mothers day fell in June, so is it early this year or as it is so late have I made some sort of mistake. Peggy
