Explosion

There was a controlled explosion carried out in the wee hours of this morning about 100m from my house. A 19 year old man was arrested 'to prevent harm' on terrorist charges. The first I knew was a note through the door from police this morning but 14 households had been evacuated and are still out. There are police everywhere. Scary stuff.

Arrived back in UK at 3am !! Asleep by 4:30am, But back up at 8am for an 11am meeting in London (need a yawning smiley ) Back home delete the 685 junk emails, quick check through the 65 legitimate emails, then withdrawal symptoms define that I need to log onto FSF before going off for an afternoon kip!! so....................10 pages to catch up on (which I look forward to doing over the weekend ) just wanted to say.... Hellooo all, I embarked on my NQT year in September 2007, working on a part-time basis, but from the January term I have been working full-time. My problem being that in July I will still have approx. 6 wks in order to complete my NQT year, I am debating; should i mention this in my letter of application or just save it to tell them if i am successful for interview? Also explaining the above would waste valubale words, which i think would be more effective in gaining their attention. Any advice would be warmly welcomed!! Thanks in anticipation!! Lyd

had some spare time today so i thought i'd ought to get on with my CAF (had the password for ages now!) what an experience! i found my self with sweaty palms, what if i get a bad score? well at the end of it it was fine got 18 out of 20 and actually it was quite nice doing it in my own time not having to travel and sit for hours trying to take in what is being explained to me (i tend to go off in my own world and not listen! even though i'm really trying!) just wondered what any one else thought of it.

i am trying to find out about this illness, as one of my grandchildren (aged 20 months) has just been rushed to hospital, suffering a huge weightloss (she's gone from 2st 7lbs, to 1st 10lbs in a couple of weeks).Originally, it was thought she had 'just' had a virus,flu-like illness,but now the docs think it's possibly Coeliac disease, or even an over-active thyroid.I know her mum and dad are really worried, and the poor little lass looks like a little ghost right now.........and she can't tolerate much in the way of food, her appetite is poor, and her favourite cereal (Weetabix) doesnt stay down and also causes diarrhoea.Other wheat based foods (bread etc) seems to have t…
