Hi all, help our Santa has been double booked! Although he can be with us early ( 10.30 )and not for the end of our party. So I thought he could come at breaktime and we could have 'breakfast' with him instead. He could talk to all the children, have a photo taken and maybe leave his sack of presents to give out later at hometime. We could then carry on and have our party and lunch then. What do you think? has anyone done this before?

Hi All, I posted in here as it is not visible to outsiders. Today my chef made an allegation against one of my staff in the toddler room for being "too harsh when disciplining a child and bumping her on to her chair" there were 2 other staff in the room at the time. I asked everyone to write down what happened, so I could make sense of it. Neither the person accused nor the other 2 members of staff where concerned at all about her behaviour. The person making the allegation has spent 2 days at work crying about personal issues on and off during the day including before she went into the classroom today. They are family related issues and the child that was told o…

Have had a case of mumps reported today...............amongst other things, I phoned one of mums whose child is off poorly, just to let her know, and guess what??? yes, TWO cases of mumps. haven't heard of it in years and both children have been fully inoculated. Hope I don't get it,; it's one of the few childhood illnesses i haven't had.....

Hi All It has been a while, but here I am again needing some advice. I am unwell at the moment with an undiagnosed auto immune thing which has meant that after only a few weeks in a new job I am on sick leave. For exactly how long I don't know. I don't know what to do next as I am coming to realise that I haven't the capacity (or ability) anymore to be able to be a teacher. I cannot do it. Do I try and retire sick and what else can I do to pay the mortgage? Help :unsure:
