Hi I don't know whats got into me lately i'm always feeling ill, over the last 4 weeks i keep feeling sickly, as if i'm going to be sick, never have been, just comes over me in waves then goes a way, feel very tired, with the odd funny stomach every now and again which doesn't last long.... beginning to wonder if its stress. tried making a doctors appointment- cant get in for 2 weeks. I do manage a pre-school, i'm short staffed, cant find anyone to take on the positions, supervisor has also resigned, i'm child proection officer and senco and im doing a degree along with looking after a family and working full time at the pre-school. does anybody else ever feel like thi…

Just spoken to a friend on the telephone (who also works at my sons school in the office) she asked me how C..........was. I said fine just full of cold at the moment to which she replied "how's his leg", why i asked, "because he was upset today because .........and...........were kicking him! When I came off the phone I went to see him in bed and asked him to show me....he has a massive bruise on his shin. Oh yes forget to tell you about that mum (he is 11). Not sure where to post this but I feel sure that you wonderful lot will have some really good suggestions so here goes... I've just been to a highly charged meeting of one of our feeder schools which is earmarked for amalgamation, which effectively means they will close. The question was asked from the parents: what can we find out that has worked in other areas where they have been threatened with closure. We talked about writing to MP's, council cabinet members etc; that one written letter is worth 10 e-mails but really we drew a blank beyond actually demonstrating outside the county hall. Hi I am very priviliged to have been asked to be godmother to my beautifull niece. I do not want to get her the traditional silver trinket as these tend to gather dust. I have bought a pink silver plated engraved keepsake box which I want to make up with memorable bits for her. At the moment I have a personalised baptism candle, 2007 coin set, A local paper from the day she was born and that is it. I am now asking for your ideas for other items that I can put in the box for her, if it is any help she was born 6th July 2007 and will be christened March this year. Your help would be great.

Hi - When we last upgraded the forum software I introduced a new extended profile page with things like friends lists, visitors and so on. I completely forgot that I said I'd ask how people felt about this after a month or so, in case they found it a bit too informative. So I'm just asking now for a bit of feedback to see if people are now happy with the page or if you'd like to go back to the much more basic page we used to have. Let me know what you think, either here or by PM!

Hello! We have this week, found out what we are having and are now struggling for baby names! With Natalie it was easy. She was Natalie from the time I found out she was a girl but this time it is really hard. We had a boys name sussed from the word go, but a girls name was really difficult. It seems we are not compatible when it comes to name choices . Injury

We had a ghastly accident. 3 children in loo just before lunch at end of hand washing. One became silly with a door, pushing it open repeatedly. Eventually child on loo lost patience and slammed door shut on finger of 3rd child who had put her hand by the hinge. The door is fairly solid and close fitting, loos up for an upgrade this year. The end of the child's finger was sliced off including most of nail, bone at finger end fractured. I was on PPA my team were magnificent. Swift to give first aid, alert parents, ambulance etc Obviously we've now done a lot of soul searching. As well as all the usual nagging about good behaviour in loos, we have put a line on …

This is my third day without smoking. I gave up for 2 years but about 5 years ago I started again. Since then I've stopped for a month, 6 weeks and 3 months, but I always start again to prove to myself I wont get hooked. Yes, you're right, its very perverse. So I'm doing it again. If anyone else has given up for the new year: good luck, keep going and dont start again. Theres a message to myself in there too

Well yes it's that time of year again, tried to search forum for last years resolution (2006) to see if I kept to it, but couldn't find it ( my search facility is playing up) I found 2004 - To be positive....and I found 2005 - To be proactive...so This year I think my resolutions will be (off the top of my head, 1st thoughts) To spend more time with Hubby and family. This is one I know I can keep now I have closed the business....and To think through carefully before starting any new ventures, especially as to how they will affect my time with hubby and family. ........and the one I may not keep but would be nice if I could...
