I saw it, thought I did anyway, then I didn't see it. Has anyone seen the FSF Christmas tree?

Hi all - Don't know if anyone else is concerned about climate change, but if you think the Bali conference needs to be given as much support as possible, add to Al Gore's petition which he'll use while addressing the conference - erm - tomorrow I think. Find it here. Also (you can tell I'm trying to avoid actually starting work for as long as possible, can't you?), there's a very diverting site you might not have come across which tests your word power and while you are playing, adds grains of rice to a total that they send to the third world. It's a bit difficult to explain, but easy to play, fun and the longer you play, the more rice you send. Find it here. There …

Was It Cold Today?

Ok. Do you think it was cold today? And then to follow on, did you still have access to your outside areas avaliable for the children in your classes? The other FS people I work with said it was "freezing" today, and as a result 2 of the 4 classes didn't take their kids outside at all. I was outside am and pm with my reception children! This is not an unusual occurance where I work. I feel fed up with them (1 is the coordinators class) and feel so sorry for their kids stuck inside all day. However I thought I would ask you all what you thought about the weather today as maybe I'm being really unfair! Amanda

I finally have some snow to see (cannot get a picture good enough), it started at around 11am this moring. Not much mainly the wet stuff but its sticking on the pavement/roads, cars and roof tops. Thank goodness I orders some new boots to arrive yesterday otherwise I would be stuck. One of the joys of living up fairly high in the pennines. I missed the snow the other week, well I can't complain I was in sunny canaires.

Ok, lets see who has the most to do on here: I have my class to teach and keep calm until the end of term. I am producing, i've written and I am playing piano for the nativity play. I am organising a carol sing for the old folk in the village hall with older children I am accompanying the playgroup on the piano for their nativity play and taking my class to help with the singing. I am running, executing and organising KS2 christmas concert as well as getting the choir to sing. I am playing piano for this as well as conducting some pieces and I have produced a dance for this event aswell. I am organising a banquet on Friday and laying on food for all the children in …

Christmas Assembly Reading
by Guest- 8 replies

Hi, I am an NQT nursery teacher in a 1 form entry Church of England school. On the last day of term myself and my 2 nursery nurses have to perform a Christmas reading to the whole school. The reading can be funny, but needs to obviously appeal to the children. Has anyone got any good ideas? Have trawled the web and can't really find anything suitable. Many Thanks and happy christmas Lorraine

I've been out for 5 hours and bought 3 books, which I could just as well have bought from amazon. I was desperate to start my shopping though and thought something would be better than nothing. Also bought a nail file. What a rubbish day, and tomorrow I'm doing it all again with hubby in tow, so we'll stop for breakfast, shop, stop for coffee and cake, shop, stop for lunch... Thank goodness its only the end of November otherwise I'd start to be worried!!
