Just Watched X Factor!

I'm feeling such a saddo at the moment - I think I must have bawled my eyes out through most of tonight's programme. My hubby thinks I am bonkers! But I'm thinking of taping the show and watching it after a particularly hard day at work - I'm sure it'd be a great stress buster!!

Hi A few weeks ago i showed a parent aorund our nursery, she was suitably impressed and booked her child in. her child has one settiling in visit (did well) and was due a second visit but unfortunatly mum(who is pregnant) became ill and no longer needed to take up the place because she was not working any longer.Mum cancelled the place , explaining her reasons and i thought nothing more of it. today we got an absoloutly lovely letter of mum explaining that she had looked round all the private nurseries in town and ours exceeded all of them (in her opinion anyway), she said ours was far better than more expensive nurseries.she felt it was homely, all staff were ca…

A member of staff brought a bagful of apples in from her apple tree. I have made apple crumble with them & it was lovely. We have been for a walk passed her house and the childrn have seen the tree so we thought it would be nice to make some with them.........I have looked around to find some individual foil tin cases but can't find them anywhere What else would be suitable to use for them to take there apple crumble home in??

Got up this morning, woke the lads up, made the breakfast, stripped the beds, vacumed, went to work. And thats where my day fell over. Wasnt supposed to be there until tomorrow. Cant be accused of being late I suppose What a ninny?

Today my husband and myself have been married for 31 years. He has been known to say that he could have murdered me twice and still be out of jail. To his credit he did arrive home with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I'm planning a nice meal for two and a quiet evening in (as it's a school night!!). To be honest I cannot think where the years have gone but I do know that I wouldn't have changed anything. Mary

I'm not really political but . . . . did anyone see the news last night with our PM Gordon Brown talking about giving 1:1 in schools? Wow great I thought..... lower ratios coming then? I began to wonder why then is this governments 10 yr childcare strategy and the introduction of the EYFS intent on implementing a system of ratios which directly go against this line of thought? Surely, if Mr Brown saw the benefits of 1:1 within the primary settings, giving the option for higher adult : child ratios within the education/childcare system shouldn't even be on the cards? Just thought I'd throw it open for a bit of debate?!?! What about another lobby?
