Well it looks like summer may have arrived at last, typical when schools go back. I am going to enjoy the weather being at home (looks like an extra 2 weeks holiday for me board now ) but would be more fun being at work in the sunshine enjoying the weather with the children. I wonder how long it will last, but who cares at least it makes up for most of the rainy summer. Beth

Well I Finally Went And Did It! 1 2

On Saturday, I finally walked down the aisle!! It was a gorgeous day, meaning we could have the wedding outside. Obviously I thought it would be great, but i NEVER anticipated how amazing it would be. I now know what people mean when they say they'd love to do it all again! Have been walking round with a wedding 'glow' since Saturday, and can't wait to see the photos when they are done. We have a husband and wife doing our photographs - who take natural shots of people throughout the day. They were amazing, and really helped make the day. We're saving up now, and going away a bit later on in the year. Still haven't sorted out a new signature, and haven…

Having had a lazy lie in this morning until 8.45 am, then went downstairs to get my breakfast but my yogurt and drink on the little table infront of the big window. When I saw 2 youths around 14 years old (why weren't they in school?) ran straight passed my house, one youth on each pathway, I looked out of the window and saw nothing althougth I did think it was some strange going ons. I sat down to eat my breakfast when about a few seconds later all was let loose, a police car went flying on to the end of my street, followed by the dog patrol van. A few neighbours went flying outside to see what was happening, I was more interested in food than the police. …

Some Advice

Hi everyone, I have now been in my new role as pre school leader for nearly a year. It has been such a challenge and really hard work, at times I have felt overwhelmed, but staff and parents have been brilliant and the feedback really positive. The pre school returns on Wednesday and i would like some advice about admin records (med permission forms/registration forms) for the children who have now left. Do we need to keep these records, as that is what the previous leader did or is it ok to shred them. We retain medical book, significant incident etc. Thanks in advance

We have had a great morning back at playgroup!!! i was as excited as the children were about getting back to it!! The new starters settled in with no tears, the session was very happy and relaxed, the staff all seamed re-charged and eager to get stuck in. One staff member has really put lots of effort into her role play duties and created a fab travel agents with posters, books, labels, globes, pass ports and booking forms. This was really great to see as this is her first time of looking after this area and she has done an excellent job already. We had lots of news about their travels and adventures and lots of happy, smiliey faces from every one, all of this on a Mond…

I went for my first nanny interview today, feeling nervious at first until she opened the door, then it turned out that I aready know the family the older 2 children were my ex charges at a day nursery I worked in. I can't belive how that happened, really enjoyed myself even the older one recongised me after a short while. The nanny postion is for 3 days per week around 7am til 5pm and just to spend time with the children, cook meals (out of the fridge) and take the older 2 to school. Beth

Who me yes, well this week I have had one interview and will have 2 more this week, mainly for nursery nurse postions. However I have recived a phone call from a nursery looking for nursery nurse and a nursery manger posts. I had a lovely chat about what I have been doing on the FDey course and working, when qualified etc, they then suggest that I should think about the nursery managers post *faints* I am going at the end of the week so I have until then to decided which post to go for. It turns out that one of the posts will be just down the road from me and only around 15 mins from college. Now I need to find a nursery managers job description and per…
