I was just wondering, how many fellow forum members are involved in Scouting or Guiding and were renewing their promises at 8am this morning. We had a brilliant sleepover/camp ( all children were asleep by midnight and earliest riser was 5.30) then rounded it off with the sunrise ceremony in the blazing sunshine.

hope it wiggles for you Ain't it the Truth!!! A woman goes to the doctor for her yearly physical. The nurse starts with certain basic items. "How much do you weigh?" she asks. "62kg," she says. The nurse puts her on the scale. It turns out her weight is 70kg. The nurse asks, "Your height?" "5 foot 8," she says. The nurse checks and sees that she only measures 5' 4". She then takes her blood pressure And tells the woman it is very high. "Of course it's high!" she screams, "When I came in here I was tall and slender! Now I'm short and fat!" Flour and Water How come when you mix water and flour together you get glue?.. and t…

I have been talking to someone I know today, I haven't seen her in ages so that was nice. She said she as got an interview the week after next but part of the interview process she is to have some key skills test (well thats a first on me). I wasn't sure but I think its likely to be a session working with the children. However she thinks its more to do with her numercy and literacy skills. This one a baffled me any ideas? This is in a nursery setting, not sure if its a day nursery or children's centre. Beth

My aunt is trying to remember a book that someone told her is a favourite for children. All she can remember is the title was something like The Large Large or A Large Large. All I can think of is the family called Large in A Quiet Night In. Searched on amazon and it came up with 27,000 entries with large large in title.

Our car insurance has caused a few irate phone calls lately. To cut it short we were trying to get the insurance down from £941 to around £400 after a failed claimed had hiked the premiums. Today we were told that the price can only be reduced to £700 so we looked on the insurance companies own web site and got it at £455. Hubby asked for that price on the phone but it can only be given on the web site, and he was told it might be cheaper every year to cancel your policy and set it up straight away online. Even allowing for a 10% discount we've saved loads by cancelling and starting it straight back up. What a palarva

Ways to Maintain A Healthy Level Of Insanity 1. At lunch time, sit in your parked car with sunglasses on and point a hair dryer at passing cars. See if they slow down. 2. Page yourself over the intercom. Don't disguise your voice. 3. Every time someone asks you to do something, ask if they want fries with that. 4. Put your rubbish bin on your desk and label it 'In.' 5. Put decaf in the coffee maker for 3 weeks. Once everyone has gotten over their caffeine addictions, switch to espresso. 6. In the memo field of all your cheques, write ' For smuggling diamonds' 7. Finish all your sen…

I have been browsing on the net for a job, I have seen a few with odd job descriptions for genral requirements one which I saw said X experince and simliar role in childcare. This has got me thinking about roles in genral, how do we define what is a similar role. I know I have worked as a nursery nurse and out of school club manager, in which this role is very similar to the nursery managers role with a few differences i.e. age of children, OFSTED Standards etc. So what could be classed simlar to day nursery roles: Nursery Manager Deputy Manager Senior Nursery Nurse Nursery Nurse/Assistants Beth
